“I probably shouldn’t have said that because I don’t discriminate when it comes to dating. I have dated all races and I believe you should be free to do whatever you want. But I was so annoyed because I was having such a great time at the concert and Kobe happen to be standing next to me, and then all of a sudden I was tied to his break-up. That’s absurd, and I tweeted that in the moment, and I regret it. But to each its own. It’s just funny that if it’s written people believe it, and even though I have said I have nothing to do with him, people are still saying when the baby is due?”

According to TMZ, the split, which comes after more than 10 years of marriage, is allegedly due to Bryant’s cheating ways. While the couple reportedly has no pre-nup, Vanessa requested joint custody of their two young daughters with visitation rights for Bryant.

Bryant has already filed a response to the divorce petition, agreeing to pay his now-estranged wife spousal support.

Vanessa stood by Kobe’s side during his highly-publicized 2003 affair with a hotel attendant in Colorado, which resulted in sexual assault allegations that were later dropped, and other alleged affairs which are said to have taken place more recently.

This short NBA season is going to be a long one for Kobe!

Sources are saying that Gasol who was recently dumped by his longtime girlfriend/fiance is blaming Kobe for the breakup.

Here’s what went down:

Pau’s girlfriend Sylvia and a teammates wife (who will remain nameless) became good friends. And two weeks ago Pau was rocked by the news that his girlfriend/fiance dumped him.

The snitch says, “Pau thinks that [TEAMMATES] wife was behind it. Sylvia didn’t have many friends and he’s convinced that [wife] either is behind it, or could have talked Sylvia out of it.” And word is that when Pau’s TEAMMATE [the husband] tried to talk to Pau about it, the two got into an ARGUMENT – with each saying some very RECKLESS THINGS about each others LADIES.

So now Pau and THIS teammate are no longer speaking to each other. And their ON COURT chemistry is definitely off.

According to TMZ, the incident occurred in the third quarter after Kobe got hit with a technical foul. Clearly angry, Kobe walks to his chair, punches it, and screams at the referee, Bennie Adams. Although you can’t hear the words he uses, he appears to mouth the words, “F**king f**got.” One of the announcers then comments, “You might wanna take the cameras off of him right now, for the children watching.”

It is sadly not the first time recently that homophobia in relation to the NBA has been an issue. When Toronto Raptor guard Leandro Barbosa held the hand of teammate Reggie Evans in celebration of a big win, as the pair headed to the locker-room recently, it didn’t take long for a massive homophobic retaliation to ricochet across the internet. Instinct Magazine notes that the video of the teammates hand holding was uploaded to YouTube, but the ability to post comments had to be disabled after a torrent of juvenile, vile anti-gay messages started to accrue from sports fans.

This outburst from someone who is supposedly a role model for fans the world over, probably isn’t going to do much to promote tolerance and acceptance in sport, so it seems like we still have a very long way to go in regards to changing the ignorance of some people’s thinking.

“Vanessa and Khloe have been longtime rivals. Vanessa has been pitching her own reality series, with no success yet, and she hates that rival Khloe is impinging on what she considers to be her terrority.” Another friend adds: “Lamar has been ordered by the power that be to not talk about the Lakers. The insider says Khloé and Vanessa have “gotten into fights” in the past. And at the Lakers’ NBA Finals game on June 17, Khloé brought Lamar’s two children, as well as her mom, Kris, and siblings Kim, Rob, Kendall and Kylie — and they all stayed far away from Vanessa.

We weren’t the only ones confused when these photos of Kobe Bryant came out in the L.A. Times this week. The whole country seemed to just not get it. Was it offensive or just plain weird? Well, the stylist for the shoot has spoken out on the inspiration behind Kobe’s strange look.

Here’s what James Valeri told the Lakers Blog:

Let’s do it in a cool, young way because that’s what Kobe is. He’s a cool, young and successful athlete. I wanted to give a modern approach. I was thinking of [rapper] Tupac [Shakur] where I put a band underneath in the hat to make it look hip-hop, but … it translates in a surreal look where it creates a strong image. It was something that hasn’t been done before. It’s mixing the inspiration of Tupac and a gentleman with a white hat … a mix of a hip-hop and a conservative look.

Kobe Bryant…Tupac….Kobe Bryant….Tupac. We fail to see the connection here.

They came back from the back and talked some more, got dances from the strippers then left and got in the same black suburban together. Lance Gross, Devine, Lamar Odom and some more lakers and celebritys were there. The girls were mad that Kobe chose her out of all the girls at party. Some of MC girls were in there.

His parents named him Kobe after the high-priced Japanese beef. Why? Did they love Kobe beef? Were they eating it when they decided to conceive him?

“I don’t know,” he says.

There may be a very good explanation for the beef between rapper Trina and Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa. In a 2008 song called “Heated,” Trina talks about sleeping with Kobe… while he was with Vanessa! Now, we all know Vanessa’s no stranger to her boyfriend cheating, but she probably didn’t plan on being face to face with one of Kobe’s side pieces at a basketball game! In “Heated,” Trina raps,

Apparently beef doesn’t just stay ON the basketball court – NBA wives have their own battles, too! According to MediaTakeOut, a feud has sprung between Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa and Kenyon Martin’s fiancée Trina. Says the gossip site,

According to a person in the know, Kobe’s wife was poppin’ off at Trina during the first game – where the Lakers won. The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, “Vanessa walked by Trina and tried to talk trash, but Trina wasn’t having it. She told that b*tch to keep it moving before she got hurt.”

But according to our insider, Vanessa wasn’t backing down. MediaTakeOut.com’s tipster continued, “[Vanessa] said she wasn’t afraid of Trina and acted like she would fight … I don’t know if she knows who she’s talking too … Trina doesn’t play games with silly [EXPLETIVES] like her. Next time that [EXPLETIVE] opens up her mouth, Trina will stomp her out – with her Louboutins … And she’ll do it on camera for the world to see.”

Think this is going to get uglier than Christina vs. Teairra?

LA Lakers basketball star Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa Bryant is being sued by their former housekeeper, who claims Vanessa was incredibly abusive – even demanding that she put her hand in a bag of dog feces to retrieve a tag from her blouse.

According to TMZ, Maria Jimenez has alleged that Mrs. Bryant referred to her, at times, as “lazy, slow, dumb, a f*****g liar, and f*****g s**t.”

In the lawsuit filed in Superior Court in Orange County, Jimenez claims Vanessa accused her of stealing her (mouth) retainer.

Jimenez says it got so bad — Vanessa allegedly “badgered, harassed and humiliated Maria by yelling and screaming at Maria and criticizing her in front of Kobe, the Bryants’ children, employees and other people in the household” — she threatened to quit but Kobe talked her out of it.

SMH!!! Who knew the Bryants got down like that?
