After appearing on “Good Morning America” and “20/20,” Barbadian beauty Rihanna gives one of her most revealing interviews about Chris Brown yet in the upcoming January issue of GQ magazine. According to the NY Daily News, RiRi fields some difficult questions about her abusive ex, but admits talking about that ugly incident helps the healing process:

“It’s relieving,” she told the mag, “because it was built up for so long, and all these thoughts and emotions have been running through my mind for the past eight months. And now it’s like I finally get to let go and move on.”

Putting the Feb. 8 assault behind her is crucial in shifting the “Wait Your Turn” singer’s image from punching bag to reigning pop princess.

“I wanted people to move on with me,” she continues, “’cause the last big thing they know about me is That Night. And I don’t want that to be what people define me as.”

Why is Rihanna becoming so sleazy this go ’round? Is she so desperate to sell albums?

GQ has crowned President Barack Obama “Leader of the Year” in its forthcoming December issue.

The honor is part of GQ’s “Men of the Year” roundup which also highlights LA Lakers player Kobe Bryant as “Champion of the Year,” Olympian Usain Bolt as “Speed Racer of the Year,” and rappers Wale, Kid Cudi, and Drake as “‘Gangster’ Killers Of The Year.”

The December issue comes with five different covers.

Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Films and Lionsgate have partnered to develop “Will You Be My Black Friend,” a film – to star Chris Rock – based on a Nov. 2008 GQ magazine article of the same name.

The article chronicled GQ senior correspondent Devin Friedman’s unorthodox and admittedly self-conscious quest to make “black friends.” He launches his search by posting an ad on Craigslist. “Man”-dates, bromances, and hilarity ensue. Read the article in full here.

In the film version, a white, married journalist living in Manhattan comes to the unnerving realization one night at a cocktail party that virtually his entire social circle is white. In fact, his entire existence has become steeped in a certain style of “whiteness”, the rarefied industry of publishing, a weekend house in the Catskills, yoga, ambient music, and seasonal gourmet cooking.
