EBONY sat down with the singer-songwriter at a super exclusive photoshoot planned to help promote his upcoming album Libra Scale. Ne-Yo, who is preparing to attend the ASCAP Awards Friday night in Beverly Hills, talked about how he had traveled home to Atlanta to get some news about the baby.

Surprise! He had to come home so he could make the first ultrasound visit with his girlfriend. There’s no word on the sex of the baby because the tiny tot curled up in a ball, leading Ne-Yo to joke that his future progeny is “stubborn.” But, he added, “They didn’t get that one from me.”

“I am 30 and I do have my first child on the way, and I’m very, very, very excited about that,” he tells EBONY. “It’s a New Year’s baby and I’m just in a really good place right now.”

There’s also the rumor that Ne-Yo and Monyetta are engaged, which he did not confirm.

Ne-Yo has experience in being a dad as he previously took care of his ex-girlfriend’s baby boy as if he were his own, despite him not being the biological father.

The singer’s next album is due out September 21st.

Nicki Minaj: He drank a lot and did drugs, and he would get violent when he did. When he set fire to the house, he was attempting to kill my mother. She got out before it burned all the way down. I’ve always had this female-empowerment thing in the back of my mind—because I wanted my mother to be stronger, and she couldn’t be. I thought, “If I’m successful, I can change her life.”

Nicki Minaj: I have a lot of freedom to be crazy. I can rap in a London accent, make weird faces, wear spandex, wigs, and black lipstick. I can be more creative than the average male rapper. And I can show my boobs. Guys can’t do that.

Mathew Knowles is officially a daddy again…A DNA test has confirmed that Mathew Knowles is the father of Alexsandra Wright’s brand new baby boy.

Sources tell TMZ the DNA test is a match, and lawyers for Knowles and Wright are in the final stages of negotiating a settlement for baby Nixon’s child support.

Wright filed a paternity suit last October against Knowles — who was temporarily ordered to pay $8,200 in monthly child support. Wright claims she had an 18 month affair with Knowles.

His care and attention to detail show mastery of a task few white men ever contemplate. Miriam had short, patchy hair when Green’s first saw her in the orphanage in March 2005.

We’ve been trying to stay away from all the rumors surrounding this tragedy, but we just found out that the real father of MJ’s kids has been revealed!!!

According to US Weekly, the father of Michael Jackson’s children Prince and Paris is none other than Jackson’s L.A.-based dermatologist and Rowe’s former boss, Arnold Klein.

“He is the dad,” one of many sources tells Us Weekly. “He and Debbie signed an agreement saying they would never reveal the truth.”

Rowe also claimed that she carried his children as a personal favor, “I said, ‘Let me do this. You need to be a dad. You have been so good to me.’”

Rowe and Jackson met when she was a nurse’s assistant in the 80′s.

Arnold Klein would not comment on the accusations.

ESSENCE.COM: On a more serious note, you lost both your parents in 1999 and 2000. How have you been coping?

GINUWINE: After my father shot himself to death and my mother died from cancer less than a year later, I really didn’t want to be here anymore, I didn’t want to live and tried to commit suicide more than once. There was no one around that I really loved at the time, so I turned to the drinking and drugs like weed and ecstasy. I was done mentally and emotionally to the point that I had to go see a psychiatrist, but that didn’t do any good because I wasn’t interested. In fact, the two times I visited him I was high. I was depressed and felt like I had nobody to talk to that could relate to me.

GINUWINE: I had one friend who intervened and begged me to get help. Even though I didn’t continue with my therapy, I went to church and received counseling from my pastor and got straight spiritually. I had to ask myself whether or not I wanted to go out like my dad and have my kids hurt the way I was hurting. I’ve been clean for about seven years. Now, I keep all that stuff away from me, especially when I’m on the road.

Say what you want to about Diddy, but you have to admit he’s a good father to his kids.  Stepson Quincy Combs who is the biological son of 80′s singer Al B Sure has always been extremely close to Diddy. Diddy event went all out on Quincy’s 16th birthday party (which Al did not attend) and gave him a 1964 Lincoln Continental, inside remade.

Quincy recently wrote a letter to his biological father that you must read:

A Letter To My Father

I’ve been inspired throughout my life by special circumstances and unique experiences. Foremost, I grew up with a family that injected me with unconditional love and enduring confidence. This is my foundation … the family holidays and celebrations with my maternal lineage … supportive smiles in audiences at school programs … guiding hands to complete homework and special projects in the wee hours of the morning.

However, I grew up without my father, an irreplaceable force and influence that was absent in my life. I watched other kids enjoy the embrace of theirs, and I searched for a way to reconcile the meaning of my circumstance. Despite my pain, I’ve imagined a life as a good son with my father. Baseball … Playing in School Band … Church … All of the things that he would expect his son to do, I’ve done. I’ve stood in front of audiences to receive awards. I heard their applause and praise. But, the accolades have been absent the sound of his clapping hands and encouraging words … his voice that I could distinguish in my sleep. Where has he been?

Albert Brown, also known as “Al B Sure!” is my biological father, but Sean Combs, also known as “Diddy” has been a father figure in my life for as long as I can remember. Sean Combs is the person whom I look up to and appreciate as a father. He is the one who help mold me into the person I am today and will always try to live up to his expectations. He has always been supportive of me and I will forever love and respect him. As far as my biological father goes, the “spitting image” is all I have taken from him. Throughout my life, I’ve always wondered about him; Where he was? What was he doing? and most importantly, Was he even thinking about me? The absence of my father has given me a better understanding of what type of man I am going to be. I am grateful for my mom’s love, support, guidance, and for her strength.

To those who share my plight, know that you have a great future … a DESTINY. Take the lemons that you are handed and make lemonade. Your journey is in “A Letter To My Father.”

I have always felt like you should follow your gut instinct. When you feel that something is not right about a situation, it usually is the case. I have gone against my better judgment several times in my life and regretted it each time.

You have been with him for 5 years and have a child together. You need to ask yourself: do the pros outweigh the cons? Is having him in your life really worth it? Take “love” out the equation and really make out a list of how this man benefits you, your child, and your future. Since you have no proof that he is cheating on you, all you can do is speculate and worry. If you really want to find out, hire a private eye to follow him for a month. Then make your decision.

Apparently the whole “pregnant man” phenomenon didn’t stop at Thomas Beatie! Transsexual Ruben Noe Coronado, who was born as “Stephanie” but kept his female internal organs despite undergoing a sex change, is the world’s second pregnant “man” – and he’s carrying twins!

Says the UK’s Daily Mail,

Transexual Ruben Noe Coronado, 25, is due to become a dad at the end of September.

Ruben, born a woman called Stephanie, will bring the boys up with partner Esperanza Ruiz, 43.

The pair plan to marry before they become parents.

Bearded American Thomas Beattie made headlines round the world after giving birth to daughter Susan Juliette last June.

The 35-year-old, born Tracy Lagondino, is expecting a second child with wife Nancy this summer.

Like Beattie, Ruben is officially a man but retained his female reproductive organs.

When doctors told girlfriend Esperanza, already a mother of two, that she could not have any more children, she and Ruben decided he should try to become pregnant with donor sperm after undergoing fertility treatment.

He plans to give birth at a hospital in Barcelona, where the couple recently moved from Malaga due to family problems.

Once he becomes a dad he will continue sex change surgery interrupted to enable him to fall pregnant and give birth.

He is the first Spanish transexual to do so and it is thought he will become the world’s first transexual father of twins if everything goes to plan.

Sweetie, I think you need to stop sleeping with a married man. He clearly chose to be with someone else besides you. He may still have feelings for you, or feelings for your vagina, but eventually this is going to blow up and end badly – with either you, his wife, or your child being hurt by his infidelity. I think you need to call him out on his marriage. You are playing the dummy role by not acknowledging what is clearly in your face. Which is: HE IS MARRIED AND STILL LIKES TO KEEP YOU AS THE SIDE PIECE. YOU ARE EASY AND CONVENIENT.
