That’s the predicament facing Gabrielle Union’s Flash Forward character Zoey Andata, when she sees a vision of her fiancé’s funeral rather than the wedding she’s been planning. Off to an intriguing start last fall, the ABC series has been on a winter hiatus but returns with a dozen new episodes Mar. 18.

Honey Magazine: What’s ahead for you when Flash Forward returns?
Zoey kind of becomes unhinged. Zoey goes off on everyone—Courtney’s [B. Vance] character, Joe’s [Fiennes] character.  She tries to save her man by any means necessary. She’s convinced it’s not looking good for him and she’s gonna do whatever she can to save him. I always joke if I had this kind of passion and conviction when I was married, maybe I wouldn’t be divorced!  The way Zoey is with this man, and they’re not even married yet, the level of dedication is insane.

What did you learn about relationships from your marriage?
That you can’t sweat the small stuff. I spent so much of my marriage upset. Things like the toilet seat being up or down shouldn’t define your day. You put so much on every little thing. You look at your parents like they were infallible and perfect and you realize now that they made a lot of mistakes and they’re just people. I’m giving the men in my life the same consideration. They’re just human.

Would you want to see into your future?
Hell, yes! I have bills. I want to know if I’m going to be able to pay them.  In Janet’s [another character] “flash forward” she sees herself having this baby and she never even thought about children.  I don’t think about children.  I’m 37 and I don’t think about wanting kids at all or look at babies and go ‘Ooh!’   I have more of a chance of adopting animals on the street.

What charities are important to you?
I lobby state legislatures to increase funding for rape crisis centers. And I’m also a Susan G. Komen global ambassador for breast cancer. My aunt is still going through chemo and one of my best friends at age 32 was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Can women have it all, do you think?
Yes. I don’t believe in a glass ceiling. My mom did it all, had three kids, got her college degree while she had kids–I sat in the classroom at the University of Nebraska.  I was never raised with the idea that you can’t have it all. My parents got divorced after almost 30 years but I don’t think she would have attributed that to her work. But as much passion as she put into her work and her family she didn’t leave enough for herself.  We can have it all but sometimes we neglect ourselves, our health.  I’ve met so many cancer survivors, all these women who run companies who say, ‘I had it all but what I forgot was me. I didn’t go to the doctor or take a spa day or take time for myself.’ Call me selfish, but I can’t be everything to you if I’m not good to myself. So I make sure I’m all together in body and spirit. Unfortunately, my divorce is not final, the paperwork hasn’t been signed by the judge, and so therefore, we are still legally married. Not that I’m proud of that, (this process has been hell on earth) but divorces take time.

As for Swizz’s recently released interview with DJ Enuff, where the producer claims he was unhappy with his wife for years, Mashonda had this to say:

All in the name of “saving face”… I believe the two of them are meant for each other. Only a certain type of woman would sleep with a married man, and only a certain type of man would abandon his family for another woman. I guess they are “equals.” Those were his words on that video.

While Mashonda still seems hurt by the affair and Alicia and Swizz’s complete disregard for her feelings, she seems to be dealing with the divorce very maturely. She ended her conversation with this:

“The past 12 years of my life with this man has been a complete learning experience and I’m proud to say that I am a better woman today, because of it…Fortunately, I’m able to walk away with a prize or two. My self esteem and my son. My focus is my son, coupled with figuring out a way to make this all make sense to him at the end of the day, so that he can be a great man.”“I seriously hope people can learn a thing or two from all of this. Its a disease to family growth and human behavior.”

She also made sure to send over a few photos from her pregnancy “so you can get an idea of how happy we were, since he claims unhappiness for the past 10 years…”

According to TMZ:

Shaunie O’Neal’s lawyer, Sorrell Trope, tells TMZ Shaq and Shaunie have reached agreement on all terms of the divorce, including property, custody and support.

Under the agreement, the Florida courts will have jurisdiction to officially divorce the couple. In addition, a Florida judge will handle any issues that may arise involving property division and spousal support. Trope tells TMZ the California courts will have jurisdiction over any issues related to child custody.

Also, Shaunie is prepping for the debut of her new reality series “Basketball Wives.” In an exclusive interview with Essence Magazine, she explains what went wrong in her marriage, blaming Miami groupies, whom she says are the most “aggressive” she has even seen, and Shaq’s inability to resist temptation.

Shaunie on when things started to go bad in her marriage:
[Shaq was traded to the Miami Heat] “Miami is a great city. It just wasn’t a great city for our marriage. I know they say L.A. has its groupies, but Miami has a different mentality. Even going to the games, the whole environment is so different. Girls are practically sitting in their bra and panties in the arena. When you’re trying to keep your husband, that’s a lot to take. It was a whole new lifestyle I wasn’t ready for. Apparently we didn’t have a strong enough foundation for Shaq to withstand that type of temptation.”

Shaunie on being accused of cheating on Shaq with her personal trainer:
“I worked out at home with my trainer, my sister, her husband and my girlfriend. I was a good girl. I wouldn’t even entertain a man flirting with me. I was that conservative. But when those rumors came out, I felt I was so small and Shaq was so big that it didn’t matter what I said; nobody was going to believe me. All I was thinking was, How could this happen to me? I had no idea how I was going to pick up the pieces. I was just done.”

DJ Enuff, DJ Camilo and DJ Cipha Sounds from New York’s Hot97 station have their own reality web series The Wizards, which also airs on MTV2.

In Episode 3, DJ Enuff and Swizz Beatz and a heart-to-heart in the studio while talking about their respective divorces. Swizz tells E that the ongoing split was the toughest thing he’s ever dealt with.

Swizz also says that, contrary to tabloid reports, it was not his new relationship with Alicia Keys that caused his divorce…he feels that he was pressured to choose between his relationship with his eldest son and his marriage.

Please note, the footage is from a few months ago. Word is that Swizz’ divorce has since been finalized.

Karrine was a “compulsive liar” who lied about just about everything and even “faked a pregnancy.”

Even though she flew back to rehab with her sex-addicted husband, Tiger Woods’ wife Elin wants a divorce.

According to gossip columnist Flo Anthony, Elin does not want to stay in the marriage:

“I’ve been told that Elin wants to go. Elin does want a divorce,” Flo tells ET, adding she is told that Tiger is trying to talk his wife into staying. “He is talking to her, saying, ‘We need to try to work this through.’ … He would like his marriage to work. He would like to see his children.”
