Well, they say there are some BIG things in Texas, and this week’s featured “He Can Get It” model is the reason that statement is true.

Ladies, meet 25-year old sexy and dangerously BIG man, Darrick Bledsoe.

Born by the river, The Brazos, in Waco, TX, Darrick, was raised in the city until 1999 when his family moved to Arlington, TX, where he currently resides.

The charming Texan gent was discovered as a model in 2004, believe it or not, by his sons mother. She was a scout for a local modeling agency and she encouraged Darrick to go to an open call. He was hand-picked to be represented by the agency, however, he was scammed out of hundreds of dollars. This discouraged Darrick for a while. He took five years off to regroup and with lots of support he decided to give it another go. Since his return to the modeling scene his sexy good looks, and svelte muscular body has been shot by various top photographers for many websites. Darrick’s look has graced many urban pages as well as implied artistic nudes. “They like my body,” Darrick said. I am certain there are lots of women who will agree.

“He Can Get It” Wednesday: Brandon

When Darrick is not modeling he is a Machinist by trade. “I love working with my hands,” Darrick said. “I’ve made everything from vinyl siding for houses, to soda.” I know you ladies love a man who is good with hands and knows what to do with them.

In Darrick’s down time he says he enjoys family time with his children and grandmother. “She’s my rock,” Darrick said. Awwww, a man who knows the importance of family, and spending time with his grandmother. Yes, ladies, that is a sign of a good man. And, he is single.

I asked Darrick what type of woman he is looking for and he said, “I look for a woman like those described in the Bible. A virtuous woman who is my helpmate.” Darrick also claims to be the first Certified Cougar Hunter. “I love an older woman. They know what they want. She will tell you what she wants and likes, and leaves no room for guessing.” Well, well, well. How many older women out there are looking for a young tender to teach some things?

Darrick also said he is mostly looking for a woman he can connect with on a spiritual, intellectual, and physical level. “If one is lacking, she probably won’t make the cut. If she can’t stimulate my mind, she can’t stimulate my body. She has to know how to handle a country boy, so usually she’s from the country herself. But, first and foremost, she has to love me and my children also. If she wants me she has to prepare herself to accept five others. We are six a pack and non can be detached.”

Currently, Darrick is working on producing his own calendar, website, and getting more exposure for the public. “I’m not only doing it for myself, but for my city, my state, my whole region. I want all the major agencies to know the South is full of unexplored talent that needs to be tapped into,” Darrick said.

The rumor mill is on fire with allegations that Halle Berry and her young model boyfriend have ended their 6 year long relationship. According to a “source”, the two split because the age difference finally caught up with the Gabriel Aubry who is much younger than Berry. Apparently he found himself attracted to other women and wanting to have sexual encounters with them. Rather than cheat on Ms. Berry, he decided to end the relationship. I give Aubry kudos for being man enough to share his feeling with Berry instead of taking the loser route and smiling in her face while cheating on her.

I’m Young, Married And I Want A Divorce

I always find women who date younger man alluring. I could never have the nerve to embark on a serious relationship with a man ten years plus younger than me. To me it always seemed like an unsafe route. Like you should expect for your heart to be broken eventually by dealing with someone so much younger than you. I think how brave they must be because it seems too risky for a sista like myself. In my mind, I think that eventually the age difference would catch up with the couple and cause tension or other issues between the two. People change as they grow older and if you are dating a man younger than you then you already are taking the risk that he is not as mature mentally as you are, that he is not ready to settle down with one woman and still has some running around to do.

In fact I cannot think of many relationships where the woman was significantly older than the man and it was successful. On the contrary there are relationships where an older man dates a younger woman but as I stated earlier, women tend to mature faster than men.

The former First Lady of Turks and Caicos recently sat down with sandrarose.com to clear the air about rumors involving her love life and went in on her ex-husband former Turks & Caicos Premier Michael Misick for, among other things, stopping payment on her daughter Kai’s private college tuition.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview:

[I explained to LisaRaye that I understood that she and Devyne would make their relationship public at Domique Wilkins’ 50th birthday party at the Gold Room this past Friday because that’s what I had been led to believe.]

LR: Is that what he told you

SR: Well, maybe he’s in love with you. You know how women are. We tend to lead guys on but we’re not aware that we’re doing it.

LR: Naw, no! Uh uh, I can’t say that ’cause I’m too grown for that! I ain’t no Vivica either, honey. I ain’t with the Cougar sh*t! You know my reputation. You were damn right the first time you saw me at Akon’s birthday party, you were like, ‘how does she do it? She sniffs out money.’ You damn right ’cause I would not be a Cougar. She’s not a gold digger and she ain’t gon’ be with a broke ni**a! So Devyne told you that I would be at the club? I was nowhere in Atlanta on Friday. Call his a** out!

SR: RIght, right.

LR: Here’s my thing, you would never catch me like that. You know what I mean? Because that ain’t my style. I mean, like the pictures that they did of Vivica kissing and hugging on that boy. You would never catch me doing that. You would never catch me doing that type of sh*t when I was very young. I’m not doing all that. If I’m doing that type of sh*t, It’s usually when I’m finna do the da-don-da-don!

SR: Well, that’s what they did (laughs).

Jevon: Can we speak on the Nelly rumor too, please?

LR: (emphatically) OH NO! Absolutely not! I mean, we can talk about it, but I’m saying he’s just not my… I wouldn’t say he’s not my cup of tea because I’ve been knowing him for years. But him and Ashanti just broke up and there’s a matter of time between then that you’ve got to heal. I did see him for a few minutes when I was hosting the Urban Wheel Awards last week and he customized one of the cars. When I read the rumors of us together I was like, ‘what? Really? wow!’ But, no, that was not true.

22-year-old hip hop phenomenon Drake explained his fascination to MTV with dating older women:

“I used to talk to this woman that was 35-plus…It was kind of, like, what she saw in me…We were doing things young people do, like just going swimming late at night. Just chilling, drinking, like kicking it, talking. But it was so intriguing for me. The appeal was obvious…But I like older women, period. I never end up dating, seriously, women that are my age.”

At the time, he was a barely 20-year-old upstart MC. Aside from simply enjoying dating a more experienced woman, Drake said he was drawn to her perspective – she framed the world much differently than he did at the time.

“It was kind of, like, what she saw in me,” the 22-year-old explained. “I say in the song, ‘She just wants that feeling back, I make her feel young again.’ We were doing things young people do, like just going swimming late at night. Just chilling, drinking, like kicking it, talking. But it was so intriguing for me. The appeal was obvious. I think I can also maybe even say I felt guilty to the fact that it was a bit of a story to tell, that’s why I was doing it. But I like older women, period. I never end up dating – seriously – women that are my age.”

The Lil Wayne protégé went on to add that more often than not he finds himself in relationships with women pushing 30. “Maybe it’s the way I carry myself,” he said.

As for that particular older woman?

“When I hear that song now on the radio, I just laugh,” Drake said. “I wonder if she ever hears it. I lost contact with her.”

I had to stare at this picture for a longgggggg time before I could figure out what to say about it. I was literally speechless. Vanessa Williams has apparently picked her album release party as the right time to hire a drag queen as her stylist. It’s like someone got her drunk, blindfolded her, and locked her in Patricia Field til she came out in whatever she could find. I’d say she’s too old to wear something like this, despite her hot cougar body, but I don’t think anyone, of any age, could wear all this crap put together and pull it off. Judging by the way she normally looks on the red carpet, I’m pretty sure someone told her she needed to “funk” it up a little bit for her album release, so she went along for the ride, but the whole time was secretly thinking, “I can’t believe I let you make me wear this s&*t.”

BRB, I gotta grab some tissues. My eyes are bleeding.

Looks like our favorite cougar is at it again.  Vivica Fox who isn’t ashamed to be called a cougar, is on the prowl once again and this time she has her eyes on rapper Flo Rida.

According to bossip.com, the actress hinted at her crush on Flo Rida yesterday in on the Today Show, and was seen with the rapper in Miami two weeks ago. A source said: “She in love with his swag already. He’s like another 50 Cent. He knows how to treat a lady.”

Women everywhere – on screen and off – are flaunting their hippest accessory: a sexy, younger man.

Cougars are gaining in popularity, we even have a reality show starring Vivica Fox geared toward this trend.  What is a cougar? A cougar is a very sophisticated, a very attractive, a very sensually-aware woman, very much in control of her life. She’s got a lot of energy. Today they’re very fit they’re very healthy. They’re very successful, very independent and sophisticated.

So what’s the attraction for these women? Is it simply sexual, thinking that a younger man will have more stamina and satisfy them better? Is it a power thing, do these women enjoy having influence or a ‘mothering’ aspect over their partner? Is it simply female ‘trophy hunting’, are these younger men used as ‘trophy partners’. Maybe such women are trying to prove to themselves that they are still attractive and able to pull young virile men, possibly they have problems accepting their real age. Or is it simply that these women enjoy a loving successful relationship with a man who just happens to be their junior?

I say it’s about time, men have done it forever.
