After claiming that radio stations refused to play his music and crying for fans’ support on SayNow (Chris Brown Needs Your Help), Chris Brown decided to come back to popular micro-blogging site Twitter. After several posts, he then began promoting his music, writing ” ‘Too Freaky’… mixtape on fire right now.”

Chris Brown left Twitter back in December 2009 after he threw tantrum on the social network (Chris Brown Has Meltdown On Twitter), claiming that Walmart and other major stores had boycotted his album “Graffiti”. Before closing his account, he gave fans short message, thanking their support but providing no explanation about the exit.

The “Run It!” singer opened a new Twitter account under the name of @chrisbrown.

He also read to students at Sisulu-Walker Charter School’s annual “Family Read Night” school in Harlem yesterday.

Lauryn Hill came out of hiding and performed her classic song ‘That Thing’ on Saturday night. The lyricist made her appearance at Raggamuffin 2010 Hip-Hop/Reggae festival in New Zealand.

We’re hearing that sexy D’Angelo is reportedly in the studio working on his next album,”James River.”

The singer’s manager, Lindsay Guion, told Newsweek’s blog Pop Vox that D’Angelo is laying down tracks in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia, and New York. Reportedly, he’ll be turning songs in to his record label by September.
Contrary to the buzz, there aren’t any confirmed collaborators working on James River as of now. Names like Cee-Lo Green, John Mayer, Raphael Saadiq and even Prince had been tossed around as some possible pairings for the album.

James River, which is nearly 10 years in the making, would be D’Angelo’s follow up to his 2000 project, Voodoo. But the singer has a history of taking his time to put an album together (remember, Brown Sugar dropped in 1995), but it’s always worth the wait. Of course, this time around, D’Angelo has had his production scheduled muddled by various legal problems.

And it looks like the neo-soul singer will be hitting the road soon, too. Lindsay told Pop Vox that the crooner has just signed a contract for U.S. tour, which would start sometime during the holiday season.

The tiny singer recently performed in Brazil the singer gave an interview to the Jamaica Observer and gave a few details about her first single and why she thinks she has totally reinvented herself with this record:

“I’m doing some stuff with Sean Paul” said Toni.

She then admitted that she had also already recorded a collabo with another reggae singer, the only problem is that she couldn’t recall his name!

“What’s his name again? Oh goodness, if he ever knows that I’ve forgotten his name he’s going to kill me,” said Toni as she struggled to remember “Just recently I was saying I had to call him…” she continued, but still the name eluded her.

“Shaggy!” Braxton finally remembered, before discussing some more about the new sound of her album.

“It’s a lot of traditional stuff on the album, but I think people are going to be surprised ’cause I switched it a little bit, doing different things. I think I’ve reinvented (myself),”

The album has already been completed, and will contain collaborations from Claude Kelly, Jesse McCartney, Stargate, The Underdogs, and Lucas Secon who wrote The Pussycat Dolls hit “I Hate This Part Right Here”.

Toni’s new single is due early September, with the singer currently trying to decide between two songs. While several of her songs were leaked to the public, she is still trying to get one of them, “Hero”, on the album. “Pulse” is due in stores this November.

The sultry, British-Nigerian singer, Sade is apparently making a comeback.

According to eurweb.com, Billboard is reporting that the singer and her band are currently in the studio recording new material for an album that may hit stores before year’s end. Sade who real name is Helen Folasade Adu is now 50 years old.

The new album will be Sade’s first with the band since 2000′s “Lovers Rock.”

We can’t wait to see what she looks and sounds like these days.
