We can’t understand what she says most of the time, let’s face it, Amy Winehouse can be difficult to follow. But if you want to see her at her sloppy worst, there’s a new video that shows the troubled singer trying to rap. The video from recording sessions at the studio in her north London home has emerged at Zalononline.com, courtesy of her backing singer Zalon, who plays drums and guitar.

Amy raps: “Listen – I can write ten raps a night, it don’t matter but you know that it’s tight.”

Amy Winehouse has been boozing it up in St. Lucia for awhile now even though she supposed to be working on a new album with her time spent there. Global Grind broke it first:

Amy is currently holed up in two villas that are costing her record company, Universal, around $3300 a night. She’s got six people looking after her at a cost of $410 a day, and Universal has installed a recording studio into her home away from home, in the hopes that she’ll sober enough long enough to record the follow up album to her hit Back To Black.

Amy was coherent enough to insist that she and her husband – who knocked up a woman in rehab – are “still in love.” But, she added, “I couldn’t have given him kids – and anyway I want black kids, not white kids.” Later that night she put on her make up and drew freckles on her face before hitting the bar to once again go back to black.

It sucks when you have a reputation as a big-time drug addict and alcoholic, because when you’re caught doing things like this, the paparazzi are all over you.

Now that Amy and “BLAAAAAAAKE!” have broken up, the singer is telling reporters that her beloved Blake Incarcerated was lame in the sack. According to Bild,

In a bizarre U-turn, scandal-hit singer Amy claims she STILL loves her husband and that she is not besotted with her Caribbean squeeze, reports The Sun: “Josh has gone home. He was lovely. But it was a holiday thing. I still love my Blake.”

The news came just a few days after she proclaimed her love for holiday romance Josh – and declared her hubby Blake was a flop in the sack.

Amy Winehouse said: “Blake was rubbish in bed. Do you know what? Almost every time I slept with him it was like I was dead.”

I’m willing to bet it was like she was dead because she was probably too cracked out to enjoy it, but that’s neither here nor there. It’s just a little immature to put all your business out there like that, especially when that information is voluntary! Who cares how good/bad the sex was? If you really love(d) someone, keep your priorities in order – keep your bedroom business in the bedroom.

It’s pure coincidence that RIGHT after I finished posting about how much I hate non-fashion-designer celebrities wanting to be fashion designers, I read an article on Vogue.com UK stating that famed soul singer and drug addict Amy Winehouse is in negotiations with British designer Fred Perry to start her own line. What?

According to the site,

…the Rehab singer let slip during a festive holiday that she is currently in negotiations with iconic British label Fred Perry and has already started sketching out a few of her ideas.

“She was almost childishly excited and couldn’t stop talking about it,” a source told The Sun.

She may have spent 2008 beset by personal problems but for some, a Winehouse foray into fashion could seem overdue; not only did her distinctive look dictate the styling of Karl Lagerfeld’s Paris-Londres Metiers d’Art collection for Chanel in 2007 but Roberto Cavalli has previously declared her “a fashion icon because she is unique”, and London-based footwear designer Jonathan Kelsey created a stiletto, the Amy, in her honour – which she was promptly photographed wearing.

Do you think Amy has the potential to make it as a fashion designer, or should she probably look into taking care of her health first? The Skeptical Sally in me is going for the latter.
