The “American Idol” star has also expressed her excitement at doing performances to promote the album since losing weight:

“I can’t wait to perform again — with my new body” she says.

The singer, who is in the early production process of the upcoming album wants the music to be “more flexible, more diverse”.

She says:

“I definitely want it to be more personal than the first album, and just more me — whatever that is, I don’t know yet but I’m going to find out”.

I’m hearing that Usher’s new CD “Raymond vs. Raymond” has been pushed back until March 30th because his label refuses to release the disc until he gets new management.

According to the NY Daily News, he and his mom-manager fell out yet again in November over his relationship with current girlfriend Grace Miguel.

“She walked away from the project because Usher had his girlfriend [and former Def Jam executive] Grace Miguel was all in the mix,” says the source. “She felt as though if she didn’t end things when she did, it would permanently affect their personal relationship,” continues the source. Usher had apparently declared that he would manage himself, with the help of Miguel, but the label felt that “there was chaos in the camp.”

I’m thinking Usher’s mama will never like any girl he brings home!

Alicia Keys took to her Twitter to announce that her upcoming album, “The Element of Freedom,” is being delayed!

She tweeted:

Originally due for release December 1, Keys’ “The Element of Freedom” is now due in stores December 15.

According to aceshowbiz.com, The All-American Rejects’ vocalist Tyson Ritter, record producers Stargate, James Fauntleroy, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, The-Dream, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Kanye West, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Soulja Boy, Shontelle and Pharrell Williams are all rumored to make contribution to the album.

News during 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13 that he and Rihanna had been in a songwriting session. “Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one. Rihanna says some things on this album that you’ve never heard her say before,” he revealed. Fellow music star Akon also uttered some words about Rihanna’s upcoming album, saying “I’m going to lighten her up. I don’t want an angry Rihanna.”

Rihanna gets back to work

Alicia Keys is set to release her 4th studio album  “The Element Of Freedom”, on December 1st. Her first single is “Doesn’t Mean Anything.”

According to billboard.com, Keys will give the song its television debut performance on the “Regis and Kelly” show on Monday (Oct. 12th).  An accompanying video to “Doesn’t Mean Anything,” directed by P.R. Brown, will premiere on PerezHilton.com on October 16th and will be available on all other music portals on October 17th. Keys will make her television debut performance of the single on Regis & Kelly on October 12th.

According to Alicia:

“The music is really strong, and the drums are really aggressive, but my voice is vulnerable and delicate,” Keys said in a statement about the album. Keys says she eliminated “all of the boundaries and all the limitations, so that you can feel your freedom and express your freedom in every way you possibly can and that’s what I did with this album.”

Whitney’s comin’ back at ya! Her album is set to drop this fall on September 1st! This will mark her return to the spotlight since divorcing Bobby Brown. So come on, are y’all excited or what?!

The sultry, British-Nigerian singer, Sade is apparently making a comeback.

According to eurweb.com, Billboard is reporting that the singer and her band are currently in the studio recording new material for an album that may hit stores before year’s end. Sade who real name is Helen Folasade Adu is now 50 years old.

The new album will be Sade’s first with the band since 2000′s “Lovers Rock.”

We can’t wait to see what she looks and sounds like these days.
