Designer Deola Sagoe Debuts Sexy “Vintage” Line At African Fashion Week

Deola Sagoe's "Vintage" Collection at African Fashion Week

African Fashion Week has officially kicked off in Johannesburg, South Africa, and on day 1 Nigerian designer Deola Sagoe dazzled the audience with her Spring / Summer Collection titled “Vintage.”

Heavily influenced by swinging ’50s and ’60s, Sagoe combined retro polka dots with plunging necklines, and lace fabrics with peplum skirts.

    Elegantly done and very well made I would buy every one if I could.

    Wow, Wow, WOW! I love everything!!! …I think if I were a celebrity, I would def rock her line Vintage, to show love,to promote a fellow African, and just to look FABULOUS!

    I didn’t really care for the shorter dress bstyles, because they all seemed tohave same or similar plunging neckline. The longer gowns were more sophisticatd and nice, but again same neckline. nice The line appears to be geared more to the very petite /younger woman, than mature women.

    Some of them are very nice. They have an edgy but classic elegance. However, I think the women wearing them didn’t do the dresses justice. Their frames and bosoms made the dresses look like they were just…hanging. They’d look better on fuller women
