You can get the sense of family when living on campus at any school. The difference is you learn how to have that comradeship with member of different &quot;races&quot; who believe different things than what you believe. I think a diverse school is a better way to figure out who you are because you dont have to worry about conforming.... I did one semester at an HBCU and I hated it... I felt like because I was black I had to fit into this magical mold of what blackness is. This is just how I felt.. as for whatever children I might have in the future It is up to them. I would never push them in one direction or another because ultimately its their choice and I dont want them to feel as if they are disappointing me by doing something different.</description>
