I think she was robbed, Donny Osmond kept messing up and s**t she truly was robbed Mya should have won that trophy. But you know those kind of people always stick up for one another if you know what I mean.

I really thought Mya should have won also. She was clearly the better dancer all around. But there are a million Osmonds in the immediate family alone. On the brighter side, because the fans loved Mya so much, they’ll boost her record sales! There’s always a method to the madness. You go Mya, you’re the real winner in my book!!!!

Well of course they werent gonna give it to Mya she’s black—duh! Which kind of upsets me but she did do a great job. The judges always give the whole you were the best then pick the other person. Like pebbs said you go mya you were the best.

All i know is that it’s a sad day! I mean Mya can dance her butt off and there is noway Donnie Osmond won that I am not watching that show ever again!. It’s like no female black can win! I think the show is rigged! SO NO MORE DWTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also think Mya was robbed..did Donny ever get a 10??? Unlike Mya, who got the first of MANY 10′s throughout…also, she was the second African-American woman to come in second place..remember Laila Ali?? Unfortunately, the Osmonds have a huge fan base, beginning with all 2,000(or so..lol)family members; however, on a positive note, this will boost Mya’s fan base as well as record sales. The constant relentless bombardment with deplorably negative images of themselves that of which African Americans are so inundated with, through a white controlled media, is a very carefully and deliberately designed psychological conditioning program. It is designed to adversely manipulate and shape the minds and collective consciousness of its African American population by subjecting them to seeing only the fraudulent worst in themselves while implying that they admire, respect, and trust only whites.
This media psychosocial program conditions Black people to accept white dominance over their lives by convincing them that it is now they that are their own worst enemies. lol not surprised i knew he was going to win but for surely not for his talent. my opinion most of these tv and award shows (from Americas Best Dance Crew, American Idol, So You Think You Dance, to Dancing With The Stars, and etc) are “fixed” off of 90% popularity, 10% racism(oh it is well alive), and no true talent. its ashame how certain people take other people inventions(i.e. dancing, singing, and music) and duplicate them (sometimes badly, i.e. Donny(DWTS),AfroBoriké(ABDC)) and its actually accepted in certain people minds. how pathetic, selfish and unilateral. i just shake my head and laugh it off. i guess only real people will forever recognize real talent.

Maya is so underated…so talented. I love her music although it gets little radio play. I thought Donny was more like a show so to speak, but staight up Maya can dance circles around him.

Not only was Mya Robbed, so was ‘Lil-Kim’ to see Lil Kim, which is known for being a hard-core rapper, To see her on the dance floor with style, grace of cinderella even with the French gentleman, ( the Finalist- Last Season) when they didn’t win.
But to get back to Mya, Of Course, Mya won, in my mind / heart she, did win. I told myself that I wasn’t going to watch DWTS after the way Lil Kim Lost but I admit I did watch the last 3 episodes because of MYA, next season no matter, whose on, I will not watch, because if a black does win, its only because, they cant / wont keep taking the back lash, nor do they want to loose they the black audience. that to me is a SLAP DOES WIN.

well i got to be truthfully honest both mya and donnie performances were great i think mya had a lil more fun and excitement to her performance though, i mean the crowd loved it and it wasn’t so much over the top (sort of speaking) it was the right song as well as the right moves and i loved the fact that mya and her partner moved around alot in their freestyle mya you get a perfect 10 from me mama, and so does donnie i think he deserved his win we should just be fair and give props where they are due.

Ok, for everybody thinking this is a race issue, your wrong this time. DWTS is a popularity contest, and I don’t know if you’ve seen past seasons, but what about when Jerry Rice came second to Drew Lachay in the second season when he clearly couldn’t dance but beating trained dancer Stacy Keebler (a blond beauty) or even more so when Emitt Smith beat Mario Lopez and WON the trophy third season (because he had “heart”_ even though Mario Lopez was SigNIFCAntLy better. Were they not black or were they not black? The point is..DWTS has always been based on your popularity status…that’s why Mya didn’t stand a chance against Donnie, because he’s an Osmond, I mean he’s no Michael but he’s still a living legend. The only times that people like Drew or other less popular ppl beat the more famous celebrities is when the celbrity dancer is actually THAT bad making it an obvious embarrassment if they won, thus exposing the show to be fake..that’s why Donnie won, because he wasn’t half bad and it’d make it look like some American dream comeback.

As someone who does watch the show and vote, I do believe that Mya was robbed. But she is not alone! This season,she and the other performers who were significantly better DANCERS, did stand a chance against Donny Osmond because of his fan base. No matter how obnoxious, fake and boring the Osmonds are they are a part of “American Popular culture.” Donny was not a good dancer, he could barely keep a beat or get a steps right, yet he finessed and charmed his way through the competition in order to cover his lack of skills, and it worked. Middle America, which is the primary target audience ate it up, with gusto. As much as the show is called DANCING with the Stars, at the end, the dancing is rarely what count, the last person to win that really deserved it was about 4 seasons ago. People vote for who they like, not who is the better dancer, they should change the name of the show.

Mya was great but she wasnt robbed of the title it come down to the fans and her fan base was not as strong as Donny’s anybody could have won. But she didnt lose because she’s black or half black she did great and nobody can take the experience that she had and the new friendships she made doing this. Look at kelly osborne lost weight confidence went through the roof and attitude 10 times better and made top 3 Mya didn’t lose she just came in 2nd which is not bad . Botton line they all was paid well and the Globe trophy is the Prize oh well

No way in hell Donnie should have won; anybody but him. But I think there would have been a lot of upset people if Mya won since she is a professionally trained tap dancer. I don’t think she should have won either because of her professional training.

Of course she was robbed but are any of ‘us’ really surprised? There were several dancers that should’ve been in the competition way longer than Donny but he had a strong fan base and ‘they’ were determined to keep him in it to win it.

before i watched the performanced i wanted to assumed mya was robbed, but after watching the performance i understand why desmond won. presentation wise it was better than mya. overally i think mya was and is the best dancer on the show, but playing it to safe caused this end result. out of fairness lets be honest.
