OK so I dont condone cheating….but the story doesn’t sound right. I am looking at this through this from perspective of someone who is going through a divorce myself. It sounds like they were seperated at the time, and that is the time where you explore your options to see if you want to be in a relationship or not. I wanted to work on my marriage and my husband didn’t, sounds like Mashonda was in a similar situation and it sounds like she is bitter about it. Divorce is complicated especially when there is a lot of money involved so I can see why they wouldn’t have gotten one of those quicky divorces. they also have a child involved which makes things even more difficult. All I’m sayin is that we shouldn’t jump the gun and judge because we don’t know whats been goin on behind closed doors.

Truth of the matter is, Keys didn’t care – she wanted what she wanted and believed what she had to to get what she wanted. A real woman, one of character and respect for herself and the sanctity of marriage, would have stepped back until he got his s**t right – if he was for you he nor you were going anywhere. Understand, separated is mans way of justifying sleeping around while still married. It is a man made law which in truth is still called adultery! It is how we think and do things. In any case, if this is how people wish to continue to live then why get married? Marriage isn’t something we should feel the need to jump in and out of. Again and another justifying thought or belief that many of us come to do. Let it be told, you don’t fall out of love or grow apart. The only way a couple can expedite a divorce is if there is proof of adultery. If there is no proof of an affair, the couple has to wait a set amount of time prior to the divorce being finaled. The waiting period is longer if there are kids involved.

Unfortunately, Im speaking from a personal experience. Fortunately I dont have children. I dont know what went on w/ Swiss, just clearing up the points being made about a divorce.

A woman can’t take a man. A man has to make the choice to move on. As for marriage “It aint over till it’s over”, and thats the reason why I’d personally be skeptical about pursuing or even dating a man who declares himself “separated”. Is it a legal separation,and at what point will he make the decision to either 1) reconcile with his wife or b) follow the separation with a finalized divorce ending the marriage officially?
