UPDATE: Lamar Odom’s ex-wife Liza Morales said she was notified of his wedding to Khloe Kardashian in a text message.
Morales said: “I’ll never forget receiving that text, it simply read ‘Getting married soon – want the kids to meet my future wife’. I’ve known Lamar for 15 years and we had three children together and he was always a real commitment-phobe so finding out that he was marrying Khloe Kardashian so soon was a bombshell to say the least.”
Morales, who split up with Odom two years ago, said the pair are in constant contact and that while she moved back to New York to have her family’s support during a tough time, she wished him well.
She said in a RadarOnline exclusive: “I just hope that he has found true love now and that he has got married for the right reasons – not for Hollywood, publicity, money or fame. Lamar is basically a good guy who is very charismatic but he didn’t treat me well with regard to this marriage. I don’t know Khloe Kardashian, so I can’t really comment on her and all that is important to me is my kids.
“Despite everything that has happened I would never stop Lamar from seeing our kids and I’ve already checked his basketball schedule and hopefully he will be able to see them when the Lakers are on the east coast. I’m just trying to do my best right now but it has been tough at times but my kids and family keep me strong. I’ve got no intentions of going back to Los Angeles now.”

UPDATE: Meet the woman Lamar Odom has dated for 10 years and is the mother of his children — Liza Morales!!! Lamar has three kids with Liza, his 6-month-old son Jayden died from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. He has two other kids, Destiny, 10, and Lamar Jr., 7 with Liza. Born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens, Odom began his basketball career during high school. He briefly enrolled at the University of Nevada Las Vegas before transferring to the University of Rhode Island where he led the team to the Atlantic-10 championship. After his freshman year, the L.A. Clippers drafted him before he went on to play with the Miami Heat in 2003. He’s been with the L.A. Lakers since 2004. It seems like we’re not the only ones shocked by the quickie engagment of Lamar Odom to Khloe Kardashian. Lamar Odom’s former fiance Liza Morales was more surprised than anyone by news that Odom was engaged to reality star Khloe Kardashian. Liza Morales began seeing Odom, 29, when the two were just 17. Together they had 3 children, but Morales calls the NBA star a “commitment-phobe,” and says she was shocked at news that he planned to marry.
“Everybody, and I quote, ‘everybody’ is shocked by this,” Morales told E! Online. Morales and Odom broke things off 2 years ago, and she says she didn’t believe the news when she first heard it. “I didn’t believe it because I got it in a text message, so I thought it was a joke,” she said. “I knew they were dating, because, like everybody else saw, they were going all of these places they could be seen. So that’s how I found out they were dating.” Odom and Kardashian are planning a quickie wedding this Sunday. Morales, not surprisingly, thinks things are moving too fast.
