Although this “COULD” be true, is it REALLY??? Ah Mr Matthew Knowles at it again…..He’s always been known in H-Town to be very grimey even before Destiny’s Child blew up.

Personally, I always thought Letoya was the best of the group. She seemed to out shine Beyonce in the videos and interviews. Don’t get me wrong, all of the women are awesome performers and gorgeous women. Destiny’s Child wouldn’t be as popular as they became if it wasn’t for each woman contributing their voice and presence in the music, hands down. Now think about it, for those who followed Destiny’s Child from day one, Beyonce seemed to be of equal interest with the rest of the group. The industry and fan’s attention for the group was not as bias as, say, when the firing and rearranging started. Beyonce’s popularity really started taking off the moment Letoya was fired from the group.
There was a lot of speculation behind the firing process, but it seems that once someone started to outsing the favorite one or the attention deviated from the favorite one, that’s when the one(s) drawing the attention get’s fewer camera shots, weaker mics, fewer verses, etc. I don’t think it was so much egos clashing as it was demanding fairer treatment in the group. I really think that was the reason why Letoya and the other girl were fired. To be honest, I also think Kelly and Michelle would have also left a long time ago to, but Matthew Knowles being the business person he is probably arranged some sort of deal with them so that they would stick around. If you looked at some of the past interviews of the Destiny “Three”, you could see the dissatisfaction on their faces from time to time, especially when the interviewer kept directing the questions more to Beyonce than the rest of them. Very similar to what happened to Florence Ballard of the Supremes. The woman could sing Diana Ross under a table, but Diana had more pull in the business espcially since she was rolling with Motown’s founder and producer Berry Gordy. No one even knew Florence had her own solo record. All the attention was on Diana and being her “back up singer” more than an equal player in the group.
Anyway, point blank… The way the media gushed about Beyonce “saving the day” at the VMA’s by giving Taylor Swift her time to shine when Kanye played the schoolyard bully, then she could do the same here with what her father is “allegedly” doing to Letoya. If Beyonce is as great of an artist as we all believe she is then she don’t need her father suppressing talents around her or paying off radio stations to keep her former “backup singers” from cutting CD’s, soaring the bilboards, and dominating airplay. She’s known to be a classy lady, let her be classy and tell her father to cool it. Let Letoya, Kelly, and Michelle have their shine no matter how big the CD becomes or not. They have that right just like Beyonce does.

This is not the first time Beyonce’s father was rumored to be sabotaging and shutting down other members or former members of Destiny’s Child to keep his beloved daughter on that golden pedestal. Now I like Beyonce as most people do and I enjoy her music. But no one stays #1 forever, not even her and when that time comes cuz it will, there won’t be anything Father Knowles or Hubby Jay Z or the Grand Madame herself Beyonce will be able to do about it. Not even the all star who’s who in the industry laying down guest tracks on her CD will be able to stop it.

The entertainment business is a ROUGH place to be and it is full of double standards and ostracizing. However its the love business and the genuine talent these artists have that makes them take their chances at all of the ugly things the industry will throw at them. It’s been said the Matthew Knowles was the one who had Letoya and the other girl fired from the group. And whether Kelly or Michelle ever admits it or not I’m sure Matthew Knowles gave them hell behind the scenes too, making sure neither one outshines Beyonce as a group or as solo acts.

Im from houston and Letoya’s song gets plenty of love down here! I love letoya but personally I hate the song and wish 97.9 wouldnt play it so much. If Matthew Knowles is really doing this “It’s not a good look” It reminds me of something that Berry Gordy pulled when Florence Ballard left Motown and tried to do her solo thing! @ 3 beam dream, Michelle has 3 cds out. her last cd was released in 2008. she is went to sing gospel when destiny’s child broke up. She is doing very well on the gospel side of things. she has worked with shirley caesar and the geogria mass choir just to name a couple. she isn’t sitting in the background letting her talent go to waste. i heard she is supposed to be working on something with smokie norful (don’t quote me on that i am not positive).
