Hey Tyra is beautiful anyway. That would be the woman I would marry. I try to see her when I can when she’s on her show or what ever she’s on. I just like her personality, because I know if we were on a date she will make me laugh alot beause she will keep it real. Shes a role model, and you can’t hate on that.

when I used to volunteer for the fashion shows in bryant park.. she was MEGA-BALD!!!

I remember seeing her and the volunteers thought’ whose this skinny crackhead, doing here’ … she had big boobs, light eyes.. and like barely 2inches of hair. The hairdresser, could barely cornrow it for a weave, and had to glue the edges in. But good for you Tyra… grew you some hair.

Why is her hair wet on the day she happens to rock her real hair? Why show it if she isn’t going to show it dry and styled? That broad tries to hard to get attention!!! U can see right through that personality. Who really cares anyway about her do? It’s just something else she wanted to try and “show off”, and toot her own horn about, but she should have rocked another wig that day!!

Based on some of the comments I’ve read it’s obvious that many of you are very slow. The purpose of Tyra showing her real hair was to one, confirm that she indeed has hair and to show you how to grow and maintain healthy hair. No there is nothing wrong with wigs, weaves, hair coloring, or relaxing; however doing to much at once causes the breakage and damage. “Infamous-Gorjus” I guess you didn’t see the show. Her stylist was there and he did blow dry and style Tyra’s hair. Tyra’s hair is very thick and healthy.

Is the name-calling necessary?

This woman makes the biggest deal out of the simplest things. 1) having her boobs squeezed to prove they’re hers 2)asking to squeeze Janet Jackson’s butt 3) asking Obama if she and her mom can have a pajama party at the white house 4) having a bunch of photos of her being the first lady instead of Michelle Obama alongside a mock Barack Obama… and now this silly hair thing. Showing her real hair and having a bunch of people rubbing in it to prove it’s hers. Sherri Shepherd did a similar thing on the View where she took her wig off to show her hair was “real” and its “long” too… as thin as it may appear. Then you got Oprah catching a mean neck hook tirade about that hair she wears on her show is 100% all hers. D*mn, stop all this obsessive nick picking with yourselves black women??

Black women are constantly trying to prove themselves to society like they care either way, “See how long my hair really is?” “My sister’s cousin’s lighter than you.” “I’m not Black, I’m part Cherokee, Dutch, French, Portuguese, Cuban and Scandanavian.” All this adds up to one common message that the world: That we are ashamed of who we are and our insecure of what we look like. I mean really, Is the world is going to treat you any better if you show what your hair really look like underneath a weave, or if you bleach yourself lke Rhianna or Lil Kim, or run down a long list of ethnicities you might or might not be. Is that really going to make the life you live any different? Will you get any more respect than you did before? Or, would you risk having these people walk away from you, laughing at you as soon as your back is turned about how ridiculous you sound? I’m just being real, like me or hate me for saying it. It’s the truth.

Exactly what is there to try and prove to non Black people? We’re still susceptible to racism, we’re still gonna have those “N” word incidents, we’re still gonna fall victim of discrimination. All that showing how long a weave or braid can grow one’s hair, peeling skin, and shaving off the size of one’s nose won’t save us from any of it.

Throw a weave or some braids in your hair for a long period of time and it will grow, because the hair is not being disturbed by frequent pulling and combing. The length of time you have the braids the longer your hair will grow. The downside to it is that the braid will make your hair weak. Growing your hair through weaves or braids can be accomplished by any African American woman regardless of your ethnic background.

to the haters… tyra has worked hard and made a name for herself.. i mean s**t she hasn’t done anything like sleep with 100 athletes, or marry some rapper or have babies with people just because babies are cute. she actually looks good, no make up.. she looks better without all the slop on her face..
