I think anyone who is developing as a artist will copy what they see or experience from others, before they’re own personal style emerges. This is part of the developement process with any discipline. It is also philosophically sound, because you copy what you see that you like as an influence when you Dance, Sing, play Music, Draw AND Paint (did I miss anything?). Even Sport play.
