I saw El Cantante, and JLo is delusional if she believes that her acting in this movie warranted an Oscar. JLo’s talent is marginal in every genre of arts & culture that she participates in…from singing, acting, and dancing. She has created a very lucrative career on mediocrity. She should count her blesses and forget about award recognition.

Totally agree with Nefertitti’s comment. Of all of her genre’s I believe she’s an excellent dancer, but mediocre in everything else. She’s lucky and she should sit back when she knows there are people like Meryl Streep or Charlize Theron on the scene to act and real singers like Mariah, Celine, Aretha, Whitney on the scene in the music arena. She’s lucky: she’s in the same company as Britney, Rihanna and Ashanti. They are not that great, but they know they should be counting their blessings. Nuff said.
