I think that is a beautiful family but willows hair cut is not for her.her ears are cute but should be covered up with hair and Jaden is a cutey but he needs a hair cut badly. i didnt and my daughter didnt get to make hair decisions at that age i didnt get a perm until age 12 oh well..

I know the question was posed about Willow’s hair, but I can’t believe the stuff people are posting about Jaden’s hair, it’s just as bad as the stuff I read on TMZ(http://www.tmz.com/2009/12/12/will-smiths-kid-badu-to-the-bone/) where they likened his style (in a mocking fashion) to Erykah Badu’s. Like there is something inherently wrong with having an afro or kinky, curly, nappy or whatever-you-want-to-call-it-hair. I can’t believe our own people are saying something needs to be done to his hair, that it needs a straightening comb and questioning how could they take him to such an event looking like that. Really? Even if individuals choose to relax his or her hair, for whatever reason, at least acknowledge that the way our hair naturally comes out of our head is beautiful and there are other people who believe it and love to wear it that way.

I think that it looks a mess but thats just my opinion! I don’t like the head shaved thing on a child as young as Willow, and I’d have to braid Jadens hair or put it back in a ponytail. I guess they were going for the retro look.Oh well those are WILL & Jada’s kids so they can do whatever but if they were mine UHM NO! As a child my mom kept my hair neatly done! I notice that alot of these hollywood people lack direction when it comes to styling their childrens hair and in some cases dressing them. Money can’t by good taste I guess!

Kids today are already too grown. But they have to grow up fast now because a lot of the adults raising them are out of control. I think the haircut is cute however it is a bit too sexy for a nine year old. This is what attracts older men to these little ladies. Some men can’t tell anymore what the age of these young ladies are because they look, dress and carry themselves much older. And then we ask “WHY”???? Maybe it’s more for the show biz life her parents have allowed her to pursue. Then, I would say, yes it fits but not just for everyday life. No way.

These children are going to grow 2 be just as successful as their parents & that’s because they instill good thing into them…neither of the 2 children are out of control all the while are still able 2 express themselves. It’s about letting them know what is important & what is not…& hair is just hair. Honestly how many of us, at 9 years old begged our parents for a hair cut like Willow’s? At 9 years old how many of us ever thought to shave our hair off like Willow’s? Some of us didn’t relax or straighten our hair until we got old enough to manage our hair ourselves. I’m just saying when you start justifying “adult-like” actions for children we have to be ready for whatever comes after that. We can’t complain about them actin’ a fool when they grow up because we are allowing them to be put in adult like situations and giving them permission to behave like adults at a young age. No, hair styles don’t have an age limit, but cutting your hair presents a statement that I’m not sure a 9 year old understands or is aware of. Besides my opinion if Jada and Will gave her the okay on the haircut, then so be it, that is their child…but as for us on the outside looking in, how can this be acceptable for OUR children? For real? I can’t believe this is even a topic. First of all it’s none of our business how the Smith’s are raising there children (they seem to be good parents so far) and second her hair texture is like Jada’s and people who know their hair will grow back aren’t afraid of a cute haircut. Black children are getting relaxers at younger ages than when I was growing up, there was the old press n curl; and since her momma can pay to have it taken care of then what’s the problem? It’s a cute cut and no one questions when they see a little white girl with a short cut.

I had to shave my daughter’s hair in the back before. It was because of that pre-teen hair breakage , she started doing her own hair and it started breaking in the back because she would’nt listen to mom and oil and brush her hair so it would’nt dry and cause breakage. A weave was out of the question. Her hair eventually grew back and caught up with the rest in a couple years and now she has beautiful hair down her back. She is almost 16 now and knows how to give the flat iron a break now because of what I taught her. She is old enough to do that now. Willow is nine , she will be fine and I personally don’t think it’s a big issue. Watch by the time she is 11 or 12 she will have a head full of hair especially if Jada uses the products she promotes by Carols Daughter. That’s what keeps me and my girl with beautiful hair honestly.
