WTF? Ashanti To Produce Music Competition

They couldn’t think of a single better person to host a singing competition than Ashanti?

According to the singer’s website, Ashanti has entered into a new partnership with Reveille LLC as Executive Producer and will appear and oversee a new music-based competition tv show. Last we saw of her, she was reprising the role of Dorothy on film, in Jim Henson’s “The Muppets’ Wizard of Oz,” and on stage in the off-Broadway production of “The Wiz.”

“I’m excited about the opportunity to be working with Reveille LLC, one of the tv industry’s heavyweights,” said Ashanti, “and I can’t wait to begin production.” Reveille is known for popular and award-winning hit series including, The Biggest Loser, The Office, and Ugly Betty.

    Hey, singing was not Paula Abdul’s strongest suit either but she hosted American Idol *shrugs*. Just look what it did for her! Maybe Ashanti will have more success as an executive producer…especially if the show reaches world renowned success. Good for her :) .

    Ashanti seems to get sexier and more shapely with time, not a fan but im definately fond of her look, how many other people be on music shows and dont have the slightest whisper of a tune in they neck

    Im not really up on Ashanti’s music like that but its good to see her doing her thing, helping get other talented people some shine….especially after Murder Inc. fell victim to the FEDS….

    She definitely isn’t a strong vocalist. I don’t knock the gurl on her writing abilites because she’s an excellent writer, but as a singer.. I prefer not to listen to her. But sumone made a comment about Paula, & they are right.. but I’m jut not too fond of Ashanti judging ‘singing, when in reality they will probably be better than her. :(
