UPDATE: Whitney Hid During Her Album Listening Party

UPDATE: We’ve now got the story that Whitney was a nervous wreck before her album listening party and actually hid while people listening to the album, from EURweb.com:

Word from the London listening party for Whitney Houston’s new album “I Look to You” says the singer kept herself “hidden” in another room while Clive David played tracks from her CD to industry executives and leading journalists.

An unnamed source tells Britain’s London Lite newspaper, “There were music press from around the world and VIP guests present. Whitney was so nervous she was hiding behind a door while everyone listened.

Here’s the photos from when Whitney Houston and Clive Davis threw a little shindig last night to listen to her new album and showcase the cover art. Check out the gallery:

    I can see hiding to get an honest reaction out of people about her album. One minute people will tell you they love your album to your face then trash it the next. Good for her i hope the album is a success and i’m glad she has her life back on track.

    Some of you are foolish. SHe is nervous. She is one of the best voices, a ROLE model…she has pressure on herself for this album. She hid out of nervousness.

    I kinda’ like the title. It’s unconventional. The title “I Look To You” could be Whitney speaking directly to her fans; as it relates to her past drug addicts and personal issues. It could be a sign that she is here for fans and not going to leave us in the dark any longer. You Go Whitney! I can’t wait to hear her new Album!

    Whitney’s comeback is the most anticipated comeback in a long time. I am glad that she is back. Whitney Houston is the greatest female interpreter of songs in my opinion. I hope her album does well, and I hope the album makes people happy just as her other albums, especially the “Bodyguard” did. Remember that song, “Didn’t We Almost Have It All”. That was my favorite Whitney song.
