Who cares really. Tyra knows how to do self promotion. She did a show on little black girls that hate their hair so Tyra threw on some cornrows. Now to get media attention for this show she’ll wear her real hair for one episode and go back to the long light colored straight weaves.

Tyra nor Beyonce wears WEAVES! I don’t know why they titled this story that way but they DO wear FRONT and FULL LACE WIGS!! It’s much easier and faster to glue a full wig of hair onto your head in only a few minutes than it is to have to sit for hours and have weave tracks glued or sewn into your own hair! From what I surmised, that glue is probably having damaging affects on her skin, hairline and health and she is finally realizing that she can’t do it every day all day as required to keep the look up! Lace wigs and glue were NEVER meant to be worn as all day accessories! They were, however, meant for film/movies and theatrical stage appearances…but of course, you know that black women had to get a hold of it and turn it into a ca$h cow phenomenon that Korean’s are utilizing to make another golden mint out of! I am SOOO sick of seeing these stupid looking black women walking around with that sh!t glued onto their foreheads until it isn’t even funny!

Oh…and please! Let’s not forget about those super HIDEOUS, long, black, Miss Piggy/ Patti LaBelle/ theatrical/Showgirl lashes that make them look like idiotic fools and daytime tramps on legs!!! All that sh!t is not meant for DAYTIME wear!!
Who the helL is advising these broads on their make up, wig and eyelash applications?!? Surely NOT Miss Piggy or Miss Patti! They both always look and rock their lashes fabulously!!!

Well BlackMiss62 i have to disagree with u on the hair thing. some women need weaves and wigs in their head other wise they would be walkin around lookin like bald headed skally waggs. and believe u me u dont wanna see that! and me as a up and comin hairstylist i get paid to do this for some women who want to look and feel good about their selves. im not saying black women need these things to feel right about them selves because we look good all natural too. and we all know some white women to it too but they are just more secretive with their biz. but it all depends on how the women carries her self and who did the weave as to if it looks good on her or not. i do agree on the eyelash thing, some folks are takin it a lil to far wit those.

BlackMiss62….I think you may need to get your eyes checked, hon. Both Beyonce and Tyra wear weave. They have worn it for many, many years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Tyra with no weave in her hair. Beyonce and Tyra’s childhood pictures are as close to their natural hair as you’ll get. I have never had a reason to hide behind braids, pony tails, tracks, or wigs. Thankfully, God blessed me with good hair, and I have never had a need for it. Unfortunately, not everyone is so lucky. That may be the case with Beyonce and Tyra. I guess if wearing that stuff makes you feel better about yourself, then go for it. Just keep in mind that years of wearing that stuff will have a devastating impact on your own hair. I have noticed that many women also wear them because they’re too lazy to take care of their own hair. As black women, we all know damn well that we don’t have long, silky hair that gracefully flows down our backs. Miss1DirtySouth is also right. Some women have such bad hair, that they need the help. I applauded Beyonce’s sister for going natural. That could not have been easy for her. Going natural requires a wee bit more care than relaxed hair, and it’s a scary thing for a lot of women. I am considering going natural when I’m 35. Can’t hurt to try it. I just might look real cute in a fro:-) Those that want to hide behind that false image, that’s on you. Don’t be surprised if you’re the type that always has your hair decked out like that, and you still don’t have a man. Perhaps guys turn in the other direction when they see all that hair in your head, because they know that is going to cost them some serious money. More and more guys are steering clear of ‘high maintenance’ women now days.

so what if God blessed you with good hair as a nation we all like to look are best and if you like wearing a weave then wear it. do you who should care if you wear your hair or human hair. just be you and if you wearing a weave makes you more confident in yourself wear. to each it’s on. qho told her to write all that who will read all that. a few lines and be one with it.

That’s good, but why just for the season premiere. That’s how she usually is though, when she talks about black topics or somethin, she just so happens to wear braids that day or her shows when talking about loving yourself, she’ll say statements about how somebody should love the hair god gave them or the color of your skin. To me that is some hypocritical s**t, i’m sorry, I like tyra and what she’s accomplished, but i truly think she is a hypocrite. You walk around on camera as if you don’t love the way you look most of the time. I get disgusted sometimes because how fake she keeps appearing the more and more I see her on tv. I always think, damn what happen to the 90′s Tyra, the one from the movie higher learning, she was a natural beauty. But now she just walks around with a pound of light ass make-up and weave, her green one day then blue the other color eyes, and wigs that just look white as hell( don’t get me wrong a few has been cute tho). She just looks so fake to me on camera. I like when she’s caught off camera w/o make-up and all that crap, That’s the real tyra, because she looks natural, yea there’s some slight dark circle around her eyes with no make-up, but oh well,that just shows her hard work. if she didn’t want to show the dark circles, i’m sure she can find a more natural look to cover that up if it’s that bad. Fake hair, a lot of make-up, and the hottest outfit, is coo sometimes, but not most of the time, but not if you want your” be yourself” advice to be taught to many people anyway.To the person that wrote “do you” to Tyra, ummm she’s not doing her if she stay wearing weaves and wigs all the time. It’s alright for fashion or hair loss because of health reasons, but other than that, all the time, damn. My people you can grow your hair, stop putting all this unatural bulls**t like perms and whatever else in your hair and yes it will become healthier than what it was.
