However, FreddyO is reporting that because the ladies are on a reality show, they are not considered actors. They are are not in the actors union and are, therefore, not entitled to syndication checks. They only get paid while taping. This means that no matter how long the repeated episodes, the ladies won’t make a dime.

The today show reported that they Nene makes $30,000. She was right there on the stage with the staff. She actually smiled and stated also that some of them were actually getting paid a little bit more than that.

I don’t know anything about a union on this one. They are getting paid.

This doesn’t surprise me. These women are $BIG MONEY$ (at least this is the facade they put on) so this should be of no concern to them. Yeah right!!! Truth be told, even if they were actors; when a show goes into syndication it means that the network now OWNS the rights to that show and can do as they please. A lot of series we see in syndication (Martin, Living Single, The Cosby Show etc.) are owned by the network that is airing them and those actors are not seeing a dime. That is the name of the game *shoulder shrugs*. It pays to be EDUCATED/BUSINESS SAVVY because you know what you are getting into before you sign your name on the dotted line ;).
