I heard her on YouTube. Nice voice and she definitely adds diversity for that kind of genre but she sounds too much like every other girl who sings that style. You can close your eyes and you couldn't be criticized for thinking it was Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry in front of you singing.

As for the military thing, I know what it's like to be a military brat. My dad was air force and I spent the majority of my life before age 17 moving from one state or country to another. It can either be hard or easy depending on the person. Even if you make new friends fast, it can take a toll on you later like in how you deal with people later in life as an adult. My brothers and I were all different. I got used to the travel and liked seeing new places but hating changing schools. I took advantage of the chance to learn about other cultures but always had trouble connecting with people for long periods of time. My brothers hated moving and were glad when my dad retired. They still live in the same town we finally settled in after all that. They planted roots and one brother even turned down a new position at his job that required him to move to the west coast. He said he was through with moving. Neither one of them kept close ties with any of the people and friends they met during our tenures on the various air bases we lived on. They won't even go on FaceBook or any of the reunion sites. Im the opposite. I've moved several times since graduating high school and have kept in touch, been able to track down and/or had reunions with friends I haven't seen since 6th grade on air bases across the country or Europe. Even tracked down the girl I took to my junior high prom in Spain. That kind of life definitely changes people and it's not for everybody.
