Following the well-received EP Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase released in 2007, Janelle Monáe will soon release her debut The ArchAndroid, but you don’t have to wait to hear it.

Listen to 30-second snippets from Janelle Monáe’s The ArchAndroid prior to its May 18th release. The full-length debut from Bad Boy’s shining star includes the singles “Cold War” and “Tightrope” featuring Big Boi. Your ears are about to witness something unlike anything you’ve ever heard before.

    creative! excited about this release… doesnt seem like its going to disappoint. i havent heard an album ive been interested in buying for a long time.

    Whos Gina, check her out online. She can really sing. Listen to her interviews, she is very grounded, creative and REALLY has something to say. I was impressed by her singing ability. I won’t buy the cd but I like what she is bringing to the industry and she is KEEPING her clothes ON.

    If you’ve only grown up on rap all life, you might have trouble relating to Janelle’s music. But if you have a broader background in music, then she’s very interesting. Have to pay attention to what she’s doing to understand her. She’s definitely eclectic maybe even iconoclastic. Whatever, I will be buying.

    Janelle is a great artist. This a concept album so it will be a little different than what you are used to but there is no denying the talent and effort that she put into it. Honestly, if you listened to something outside of radio rap you would probably find a track you liked. I’ll be buying
