Congratulations Gabourey! You beautiful, beautiful girl. How many actresses can claim a Golden Globe nomination with their first film? Zero. What you have accomplished is glaringly obvious to the intelligent but lost on the uninformed, hopelessly brainwashed sheep both black and white. All women should aspire to be you – intelligent, beautiful and so very, very earthy.

Hoping to see much more of you in the future as the film “Precious” was indeed that.

This that bulls**t that sets afrikan-americans back. Makin’ movies like this so we can have golden globes and oscars or whatever the f**k. Let someone start poppin’ off ’bout slavery and then listen to someone say, “Why we always gotta be stuck in the past?” “Let’s get up off slavery.” Now if the actors in the movie go and spend the money made from the movie on afrikan-american women who are going through the situations portrayed in the film, i’ll step back and retract my opinion and comments. No real need to be makin’ movies like this. F**kin’ wit’cha emotions and all watchin’ this ish. It’s not like they ’bout to put up shelter for women goin’ through what was showed. I just view our race as a whole and not individualy. Even if I had Carter, Combs and Jackson’s money. I still wouldn’t bet that we’d see a movie about our race Before We Were Slaves. Probably would never see that. That’s why i’m hot about it. Then later it’ll be shown on BET to boost ratings. Bet you they can’t wait for this and that’s a bet. If you’re reading this like, who the hell am I to talk. I just give a f**k ’bout us but i’m really really startin’ not to, honestly. I play my part being a positive example so you have nothing to say when I write all this. Hiphops not doin’ so well to educate. Phony rappers not helping, along with homos and religion with these fake ass ministers… Leave me a note or not. Had to bust off some shots bout this this type stuff. So the end does justify the mean. I loved this movie…I thought the movie did a great job of showing the reality that alot of girls go through…it didn’t hold any punches…it was raw, just like real life….Gabby did a great job as precious…I cried in the scene where Precious was in class and broke down after finding out what she had…I’ve heard a lot of bad things about this movie, but I personally thought it did its job by bringing things that tend to stay hushed out in the open….just my opinion…

4 those who haven’t seen the movie, be prepared cuz it is very emotional. and i think thats why it is gettin so many awards, its not about what the plot and what’s goin on but how it makes the movie goers feel when they watch it. movies are about entertainment and that is what this movie provides. i mean geez everyone that was involved in dis movie was black, obviously they didn’t think this is setting us back… and why do u care what white ppl think of u?? live yo life 4 yoself… matter of fact get a life and u will b lucky enough to accomplish what these ppl did.

I highly recommend this movie. The whole cast did a wonderful job. The reason I say see it because if it help inspire one person who has been abused these actors job is done. It is very emotional yet an eye opener. To those who think it set us back, maybe see it again. I left wishing someone who was abuse or an abuser would get help and take back control of there life. I do want them to win but more importantly save or perhaps change some lives would be better…
