Weezy’s new song “Prom Queen” is good, but is it just me, or is it a bit (or exactly) reminiscent of a certain debut single by a certain punk singer named… Avril Lavigne?

Check out Weezy’s video for “Prom Queen” below, then click here to watch Avril’s “Sk8er Boi” after that. It’s pretty much the same gist – loser falls for cool kid in high school, loser ends up being famous, cool kid ends up being a loser. So on, so forth.
