As a mother to a 13 yr old daughter, it ANGERS me to NO end for songs like THIS to become all the rage. Maybe most of those who ‘love’ it are [sexually active] teens themselves or under the age of 30 with NO kids to give this song, it’s title and it’s lyrics a thumbs UP? No wonder we have an explosion of young girls having sex when they shouldn’t and end up sad sexual statistics because she THOUGHT having SEX equaled LOVE. I love the video..it’s not trashy or raunchy like everyone thought it was going to be. Now everyone has a problem with the name of the song and what it says. I have a child of my own and two siblings, ages 8 and 9. They have heard the song but we as adults and parents MUST remember, if we’re gonna let our children listen to adult content material WE have to be prepared to deal with the consequences of that happening. Now I know some will say that we don’t have all control over our kids because we can’t always be there, but again as PARENTS…WE have to inform our children that either we don’t want them watching, listening,singing or participating in these activities that are meant for adults. If your children ask, tell them. don’t sugar coat anything(cause thats similar to lying) and if you don’t want them sining or watching certain things on the t.v or radiio; tell them not to until you think their at the appropiate age or until their out of your own home.
