To adults, the ultimate sign of fame might be an Oscar, or a Vogue cover, or maybe a star on the Walk of Fame. But when it comes to kids, you’re just not somebody until you appear on an episode of Sesame Street.

First Lady Michelle Obama was given that honor recently, making a stop on Sesame Street and meeting up with Elmo to talk about – what else? – exercise and healthy eating! Those infamous arms don’t come naturally, you know. Below, check out her Sesame Street segment, then flip through a gallery of other black celebs who have graced the legendary street.

Whoever has posted these things about my 1st lady needs to be slapped. You are scared of an intellegent, free spirited woman. A woman that knows what she wants, who she wants it, and knows what needs to be done. So to whom ever you are you are RACIST!

No disrespect intended, but am I the only one who’s noticed that some of the people who’ve appeared on Sesame Street kinda look like Muppets themselves? I love me some Erykah Badu, but she looks right at home in that photo. LOL!

I used to love sesame street. They used to have everybody on there back int the day.

Im really proud of Obama. I wish them the best. Michelle is the supporting cast he needs. They dont make black women like that anymore.
