L’Oreal did it again. First they lightened up Beyonce and now the Slumdog Millionaire star. This is the first photo released of Freida’s ad campaign with the cosmetics company. Do you think L’Oreal needs to stop whitewashing its stars?

If L’Oreal only produces for white skin, then by all means use whities for your adverts, don’t see the sense in using a coloured person only to end up whitening them. People be yourselves, reject any whitening attempt

Yes. I do think that L’Oreal needs to stop whitewashing it’s models. Now what about all the OTHER companies that do it?

They want the dark sultryness, the exotic and forbidden (but put names like “honey” or “bronzed”) the curvy fullness of our lips our hips and our ass( but they call it “plumping”). They white us out to make it more white acceptable, not very long ago we were nappy headed hoes then Bo Derek made it okay to have kinky hair to braid.Okay, what I think is that white people envy us our LOOK but will never admit that.
