In my opinion, yes Frankie seems to be an OVERBEARING woman, but who are we to judge? I’m quite sure that there is a lot of people on this forum that has things about them or what they do in their personal life, that is embarrassing to their family members. I haven’t ever been an addict thank God, but I have love ones that are and have been. Trust and believe it’s not easy to deal with nor watch a loved one go through. I love me some K. Cole, but you all have to realize that she made the choice to expose her family life for the world to see, and she of all people knew how they were, so she put herself in a vulnerable position by doing so. I commend her for not forgetting where she came from because that’s what a lot of our people tend to do when they become famous, and she didn’t do that no matter how embarrassing it is for her. You come from where/who you come from, and if there were no Frankie, there wouldn’t be a K. Cole here for us to enjoy. I can relate to Franky because my mother was in the same situation, and yes there were some very embarrassing times and still is today, but when most of your life was spent with your mind in a different space and time, when a person does leave that behind they have a lot to catch up on, and unfortunately they tend to go back to the days before they became addicts, and try to start a new from where they left off. My mother is now 51 yrs. old, her body broken and battered done mostly of her own doing, but she is trying her best to get back to normal and it’s hurtful to watch the one that gave you life struggle with that, on top of now she’s dying…. So when my mother decides to act a fool and enjoy what life she has left, I let her do her because she’s not promised to wake up and see another day with us girls and her grandchildren. Whose to say that Frankie isn’t sick with a major illness, and just trying to enjoy what time she has left? We never know what a person is going through, until we walk that path.

Unfortunately, us black folks down fall is we tend to never see the overall good in a situation or person but only the negative first and foremost not the positive, and the black media doesn’t make it any better when they broadcast it. We still have a long way to go as a race of people, and it’s no wonder we are seen in a negative light, because we down our own more than any other nationality of people. Not one person can change overnight!… Frankie lost over 20 years of her life to addiction, so now she’s trying to get them back the best way she knows how, and unfortunately it’s in a way that some of us in “society” can’t deal with. I like watching and supporting the Frankie and Neffy show.I will be honest and say that at times Frankie can get a little crazy, but it isn’t fair to judge her because of it. She is an recovering addict who is taking it 1 day at a time after 20 years. Give her a brake! People are always so quick to judge and see the bad in somebody, but no one is perfect, honey. I commend her for making a change now and I respect Keisha Cole for not forgetting about her family because she made it and she didn’t leave no one behind. I love Chili, love T Boz, love Left Eye… It doesn’t matter if the remaining two women aren’t cranking out the CDs as they did before (although I did hear Chili’s making a solo debut, hope the CD does well). These sisters accomplished so much in their careers and in their personal lives. Even with the Bankrupcy and the tragic loss of Left Eye, they’re still standing and doing the damn thing. I am a 46 years old mother and Grandmother. I STILL look VERY good for my age. To say that people (women) of a certain age need to settle down is an understatement. Oh yuck! I am 48 years old with 5 grandkids. This woman looks like she could be MY grandmother.I’m not hating either, cuz I know the road she’s travelled. I was there myself for awhile. One thing I have learned is that there is a time to take yourself out of the spotlight and learn to humbly serve the needs of others, i.e. the one’s you neglected when you weren’t exactly “right”.
