I don’t watch the show simply because it is ghetto-trash (in my opinion of course). But, on the other hand, if they were educated and classsy, then who would watch at all. To me it’s all entertainment. And I supposed BET felt that there are more people who would watch this ultra-ghetto shyte, than watch a bunch of Huxtable-wannabes. That’s why I can’t complain. To be honest (and this applies to alot of you on here as well as myself), I think its ironic how we refuse to watch the show, but we choose to come online and share our opinions about it.

Afterall, there are other channels to watch.

I LOVE THE SHOW BECAUSE I CAN LOOK AT THEM AND SAY WHAT A HOT MESS. FRANKIE IS FUNNY AS HELL. ON THE REAL I FEEL SORRY FOR NEFFE IN A LOT OF WAYS. I would’nt sign it! Yes, they act crazy on the show, but also they are getting help! African Americans dont always look to professional help, but sometimes its good to do so. This is actually helping them! Frankie was on drugs doing nothing, she has cleaned herself up, and in the process she has some ideas that hopefully one day will make her more famous. Like I said before, they giving anyone tv shows and most of it is just B.S.

I would most definitely sign the petition but the thing is that these types of shows bring in viewers which brings in ratings and that equals money. Unfortunately, the more chaotic and crazy the show is then the more likely people are to watch to see what will happen next. If we are going to create a petition for this show then why not do it for many other shows that depict black americans in such a bad light. There comes a time when we must take responsibility for what we put on the air. If the show isn’t cancelled we can all do one thing as an american turn the channel to something else worth watching. The sad thing about this show is that it depicts many families out here who are dealing with the same types of issues. The only difference is it that they are not famous and are not able to find outlets to deal with their addictions or chaos. Its another black family that is dysfunctional and problematic. Hopefully, outside of what we see on the show they are receiving professional counseling because they need it in order to re-establish their relationships with one another and the rest of their family.

This show may have drama but it is real. Give these people an opportunity to help the next person.You never know who is in the same situation. God gives us testimonies no matter how we express them to help someone else along the way. I feel that they do have a message and we just need to look and listen.

I am having mixed feeling about this show. I mean first of all if you notice Keysha Cole is not in any ove the pictures so its pretty much like she is hiding or ashamed of what she has created. I think this show is pretty ok, I can relate to the mother and daughter bickering. I can also see the positive message they are trying to put out to the world however, I think that they are being used to expose their lives in a negative way I mean how much drama can they really go through? and not only that bravo has the atlanta housewives makeup and hair flawless through the whole show…please tell my why bet isnt doing the same. I wouldn’t go as far as saying anyone who watch this show has no self respect. That’s taking it alil to far. Give new black actors/actresses and directors a chance to put their vision of black life on TV, because Hollywood mostly sees us as thugs, and hoes. I really don’t see anything positive coming from this show. It looks to me that Frankie is still on some bulls**t and not even trying to change and I’m not even sure that she stop using drugs completely. At least Neffe is trying to get herself together she just need to stop having so many kids, s**t I already lost count on how many she really have. All this show is about nothing but drama and Frankie making a fool out of herself. On BET they do need to have more positive shows based on black people to show the rest of the world that all black people are not ignorant, ghetto people with no respect for ourselves but I guess some people rather see drama because that’s what keeping these networks on the air.

I’m very selective about what television shows I watch. I went on You Tube to see what all this hoopla was about. By the grace of God, I have always been conscious of the struggle of Black people through watching my Mother since a very young age. This is straight up Buffoonish! Keyshia – please get your Mother out of the public eye and get her some help. No adult should be behaving this way. This goes beyond having a good time. This woman is in pain and ill and people are laughing at her and not with her. This is the clearest case of regression and exploitation that I have witnessed in a very long time. It made me sick. I will say this. For all people out there emphasizing “making paper” – please do something POSITIVE when and if you do. The mere presence of material clearly does not guarantee an enhanced quality of life. With b/s like this, the last thing I am concerned about is White people harming me, when fools like this are closer to home.

Making blacks look ignorant is what sells. Ever notice how a serious black show like The Wire gets cancelled, but comedys like Sanford and Son roll on for years? A show with a black star, as a companion to his white superior, (I spy) may go on for years, or a serious black man with a crazy white side-kick (Danny Glover, Mel Gibson) may go on, because they feel a white man has to be crazy to have a black boss. I don’t think that the creator of the petition is taking things too seriously, heck to be honest, i don’t blame the person. If i saw the petition, i probably would sign it, even though from looking at commericals, i knew the show would be a hot mess, so i decided not to bother watching it.
They need to bring back Keyshia Cole. At least we can see why Keyshia isn’t on the show or when cameras catch her family out that she goes through the back door. I don’t blame her.

I dont really care for Frankie and Neffe and I dont watch the show, but at the same time I don’t think it should be cancelled. On the Keyshia Cole show they were pretty much living off of Keyshia. Like someone else said, this show gives them the opportunity to make their own money so they can have independence. I can’t do anything but respect and support that. Yea they act crazy as hell, but it all boils down to ratings. If someone feels as if Frankie and Neffe represent all black families then that person has more problems than trying to understand black people!! Just like if one of my relative was out acting crazy as hell…I may not agree or behave that way myself, but I would never do anything to bring them down. Its the same with them. I think the creator of the petition is absolutely right…the show really is just another chance for some hoodrats to get on tv and act a fool. It definitely should be canceled and the employee who came up with the idea needs to be fired.

I think Frankie is still on drugs too….if she were really clean and sober she would think before she does those outlandish things on tv. She would also remember that she is representing the daughter that she never even took care of. I feel bad for Keyshia. If my mom got on tv acting like that I would not talk to her.

i have thought about doing the same thing my self. i fear that people outside the black community is currently looking at this show and saying. “see i told u”. i have watched the show because the person im currently dating watches it. and i have to confess during the show i find my self saying about 15 times. “this has to be the worst thing on TV”. im not a big reality show person. however i do find some of the entertaining. This show just makes me mad.

I think the show has a lot of purpose and potential. Both of those ladies have come a long way and it is an example of what happens when things in life don’t go as society wants it to. Regardless to what other shows you may or may not want to watch there are so many families that mothers and fathers are on drugs and their kids suffer. So many women are recovering like Frankie and have grown children that are suffering, but few are getting help or are willing to do it in front of such a big support group.

It is easy to judge others when you yourself have had the ability to not have control of your life. Frankie comes from the Bay area which has a long standing tie with racism poverty and a number of other things black women of this era would never have to suffer through. So not only are we talking about someone that is fighting addiction, but someone who never had a chance to grow up in the way young woman are allowed to.

It is not to excuse her, but to see the good that she is working toward, and letting her do her thing.

I think that Frankie and Neffe’s show needs to been seen because people really do go through situations like that. I watched the last episode & I have to say Frankie has made some progress.Some of you are just too busy wonderin about what white America is thinkin about us. Frankie might have more sense than u give her credit for. Atleast she is entertaining us.

I honestly have not seen the new show. But I can tell by the previews that this is just a hot mess. Get off Keisha back and get a regular nine to five. How embarrassing is it that so frequently Frankie is in the news negatively. How can someone have respect for a woman of her age trying to act like she twenty? Keyshia is doing what most people say they will do if they ever get money, and that is to reach back and pick up any struggling relatives and help them get their lives straight. I like how she has put her people in nice homes and is getting them some much needed counseling. I have disturbed relatives I would do the same thing for.
