In my own opinion I know D_Sean’s post hit the proverbial nail on the head (read below). It is no secret that the Bible clearly foretells of such catastrophic events occurring in Haiti and yet, more to come. It was written over 2,000 years ago and is merely coming to pass. Furthermore, I find it impossible for a true believer to question their belief in God, as opposed to questioning “why” and event or occurrence happened. God exists and is in control. If an individuals opts to believe in Him, the decision is ultimately his/hers. God is not evil nor is God impotent. For one to decree this, they lack understanding and wisdom.

Moreover, I read a comment posting that listed the religious breakdown of the Island of Haiti, but what was negated from the listing was the fact, nearly half of the nation’s 7 million people practice voodoo. If you don’t believe, do some research and people will tell you stories of how the drums clamor as darkness falls.

Not sure who it was who spoke about the evolution thing. But it sounds a LOT more credible than being shaped from dirt and being given the “breath of life.”

Alan Leshner the chief executive of the American Association for the Advancement of Science he’s also the executive editor for Science magazine. This guys a scientist and he thinks we evolved from apes, even though we stopped evolving cause of the weather or something. Loads and loads of scientist are backing away from evolution theory because it doesn’t make sense. Christians haven’t backed away from christianity though, Muslims haven’t backed down either have they.

I am not on here carrying the cause of any particular religion. People have done some horrible things in the name of religion. Slavemasters used religion to justify slavery yet I still go to church. The word in itself, when broken down, gives you the real definition. “A” means “without” in the english dictionary. “Theist” means “god belief.” Its that simple. Our ideology doesn’t exists in the spiritual or the scientific realm. It lies with what we can interact with right here, right now…in the physical realm.

Like you, I DO accept that there are some things in the world that we will NEVER understand. The difference between you and I, is that I don’t NEED an explanation to justify the unexplained.

I understand that some people are SO vain, that they feel they have to know EVERYTHING about everything. And since they cant fathom anything that makes sense logically, the notion of a higher power or creator is the only thing they’ll accept. Something they can continue to “evolve” into whatever. Since “God” is the creator of “everything”, nothing can be without god to you all. So anything that CANT be explained for them, is easily represented by “God’s work.”

My heart bleeds for the families who lost their loved ones. The pains I feel for the children who are orphans cannot be describe at all. In time of tragedies that happening around the world we still have a few people debating angrily about religion. There is over 160 religions in the world and a question none of them could answer…..which one is the true God.
I considered myself spiritual and because of that have deep understanding of the ways of this world.

One thing that caught my attention few asked: Who made God? In that case who made the apes and monkeys? Debates can keep going on and on and at the end of the day….the apes, monkeys did not created themselves. Who created the universe with all the beautiful planets, moons and stars? Who created the planets to circle around the sun including Earth without them crashing into the sun….therefore being destroy and we would not exist?
Another example to explain this:every jobs that involved making something like cars, watches, computers, and airplanes to name a few needed people that understand not how to make them but get them to function right. The only thing I can possible say is how did God came into exist is possible something more higher and powerful none of us can even imagine in a world that think it is rational when it is not. We do not know everything because something are left not to be found or possible would be too much for humankind to accept. It is a test of the time doubting what is true and what is not and what we can accept to believe and not to believe. And last who we really are is exposed by how we treated other people.
