I never comment on these Hello Beautiful stories but some of these comments make me shake my head. Who in society says it’s ok for a man to hit a woman. It’s been condemned in every culture in our society. However, as a man, I am sick & tired of having women feel like it’s ok to them to hit a man because society says he shouldn’t hit you back. Soap operas, talk shows, movies, songs (“Bust Your Windows”) tell women that violent acts against men, even if the man hasn’t attacked them, are ok. If any woman feels man enough to put her hands on a man, unless she’s defending herself, then she should get treated like a man. None of you would attack an animal that you know could easily kill you but you would attack a man that more often than not is bigger & stronger than you. None of us know what happened that night between Chris & Rihanna but to see how he’s been demonized & forever branded a woman-beater when reports have come out that she may have hit him first & gets to have the whole world feel sorry for her is a disgusting double standard. Ladies, if you want equality then there are NO special circ**stances where it’s ok for you to do something & it’s not ok for a man. When is society going to start crucifying abusive women? It happens a lot more often than you think.
