The reason why these women are not dark is because they are obviously still mixed. Dark skinned women usually have wide noses, terrible hair, and are overall ugly, because they are pure african. Look at the darkest women on there, nothing pretty about them. The others have thin noses and more European features because it is in they’re blood line. Im not hating that is the way it is lighter skin comes with more benifits like physical features too.

Who ever did this list, the thought was nice, should seriously re-evaluate their definition of dark skinned. Only a few in that list were truly dark skinned like Grace Jones…that’s dark skinned. Spanish, Italian, French people and many of the Dutch people are very attractive because they were raped by the arabs and because of this they have darker tones. First off, let me just say that I am so damn tired of all this lightskinned dark skinned s**t. Dark skin women are prejudiced against light skin or light skin prejudice against dark skin. The entire concept of claiming pain and suffering for being light skinned is akin to Paris Hilton proclaiming outrage at being treated unfairly for being rich. There is no higher status placed on Black women than to be light skinned.

I don’t really care about dark or light skinned ladies. What I really care about is how they carry themselves. I have problem with black females and bad attitudes they carry. I not saying to act white, but what I am saying is a) have a little bit more respect for youself and B) have some respect for other, just because you had it rought, doesn’t mean you have to use you attitude to bring down other people. Dark skinned woman get the most bad press because of the bad attitudes. I know a few dark skinned woman that I praise because they have a positive attitude and don’t judge everyone just based on materialistic things. Maybe as African Americans we shouldn’t be called black, if that means that these woman are not dark skinned. Last time I checked even if you are brown skinned you are a black person. If you want to be politically correct than maybe we shouldnt be called black people , we should be black brown people or people of color? I was in a black history class taught by Dr. Keranga of UCLA I aslo want told by him that even some east indian people consider themselves black because they have been treated as slaves, and they are medium brown to dark skinned. Being a sista of the darker skin, I do not agree with some of the women they put up there. Some of those women are in the “Brown-skinned” category, NOT the Dark-skinned; There were only about 4 who really made the list.

I’m Dark skinned and I have to deal with a lot of hatred on an everyday basis. This so called list that you guys tried to make was a poor excuse to say we’re trying to notice tha dark skinned sisters. i think ppl here need to stop having a heart attack. these women are dark skinned if you compare them to white ppl. i am dark skinned and i am not blk. dark means brown to deep brown. beyonce can have dark skin some times but in general shes not dark. in these photos of the slide show the camera is bright and making them appear lighter than they actually are but in reality they are dark. the colors vary from fudge, chocolate, caramel, honeydip, to vanilla. there wasnt that many fudge sistas on the slide mostly chocolate and caramel.
