Gabrielle Union: “The Only Marriage I Destroyed Was My Own”

Gabrielle Union graces the cover of the latest edition of Essence Magazine. The actress opens up about gossip blogs and for the first time openly talks about her relationship with basketball player Dwayne Wade:

“The only marriage that I’ve ever been a part of destroying is my own, and it’s not my place to talk about anybody else’s…”

With a new sci-fi gig and a turn as a producer in the works, as well as finding a new love, the Hollywood starlet is busy reinventing her brand and enjoying the ride. But, as she tells ESSENCE in the article Living My Life, it’s the recent gossip about her love life from bloggers-claiming that she’s done everything from given birth to partying with a different man on her arm each night-that hurts the most. The actress says she’s not backing down, she is fighting back.

    I believe this woman is vastly misunderstood.I think she is a strong woman to come out and share some of what shes experienced.I applaud her for standing up and fighting against sexual violence against women.It was very brave of her to go to captial hill about the matter.I think she gets a bad wrap because shes a beautiful,strong african american woman.If you dont know her story,you should read up on it..and although people make mistakes,I think she gets an unfair wrap because alot of things that they accuse her of sound made up to me.I applaud her for fighting back..Sometimes what seems to be isnt at all.

    Well Ms Gabe always admirer your range and the thing you do. I also find you to be a very desirable women. I just hope that you and all the talented sisters get work. I wouldn’t concern myself with all the gossip and false rumors. I also know that is what show business is all about (exposure). If it was me personally in a situation like that I just wouldn’t give them a chance to link me with any married men. That’s the price you pay for being beautiful and famous.     When a person pursues another person knowing they are still married they are morally wrong and should be ashamed of themselves. It does not matter what problems a couple is having if they are still married it is never another woman or mans right to step into that marriage until it is dissolved. By the way separation still means married! Shame on Dwyane for not being a role model for his children and not respecting his marriage! God does not like ugly and life is a circle. Trust that!
