This is crazy. First of all Wrigley fired chris brown over some personal s**t that went on his life. I don’t get why they’re suing him for a decision they chose to do(and didn’t have to) and had nothing to do with them. I could see if he quit or backed out the endorsement jobs himself or so drugged up over something where he couldn’t make it to work for them when needed, then i could see why they HAD fire him and then sue for money wasted, but that was not the case. First off, they fired him. Unless there was stipulation in the contract that states unless he is not exhibiting ‘good behavior’, they can’t sue him. If anything, he can file a countersuit against them for breech of contract. It’s their own fault for firing him. CB was and still is a hot commodity, and even though I don’t agree with what he did, they did make money off of the commercials that did air prior to the altercation with Rihanna. I just can’t get past the fact that so many other celebrities have been accused of things worst that what CB did, and just because he is a young,black entertainer, he is being ostracized. MY wife the lawyer tells me that unless Chris had a morals clause in his contract similar to that of professional athletes, Wrigley stands little chance to get anything back. They banked on his celebrity status, signed him for ads, he did the first 5-6 commercials, got paid. After that fact he got into the rumpus with Rhianna and lost the contract. But Wrigley can’t take back money he earned. I don’t think it’s publicity as much as an attempt to get a settlement out of Chris for at least some of the money back. I guess we wait to see how the lawyers play this out, as they’re the only ones who stand to make any money out of this suit.
