UPDATE: A judge in the Tyrese Gibson divorce drama ruled, the former model must hand over $65,000 to his estranged wife Norma as a divorce settlement. Gibson filed for divorce from Norma in January, citing irreconcilable differences following 10 months of marriage. Norma challenged Gibson’s petition and accused him of being a bad father to their two year old daughter Shayla.
She also requested a judge grant her some financial compensation, even though the union was so brief, because “(Gibson) earned roughly $800,000 during the 10 months of marriage”. On Monday a U.S. judge made a temporary ruling in her favor – making Gibson pay $6,230 a month in support, $2,730 to cover her rent, and a further $800 towards her car payments.
Let’s hope Transformers 2 is a box office hit, as Tyrese will need the cash.

Did we even know that Tyrese was married?
R&B singer Tyrese Gibson, who appeared in the Transformers movie, is being hauled back into court by his estranged wife, a woman he never would talk about. The two were married in 2007 and Tyrese filed for a divorce just 10 months later. According to court documents obtained by Radar Online, Norma is requesting more money from Tyrese’s pockets and claims that he is an absentee father who doesn’t support their daughter.
According to the documents, Tyrese met Norma in London in 2002 when she was an unemployed college student living with her mother. From the moment they met, Tyrese showered her with expensive gifts, getaways and unlimited access to his credit cards. She claims he asked her to move to the States with him a year later and she dropped out of college and left her family behind to be with him. In 2007, he asked her to marry him after their daughter was born and required her to sign a prenuptial agreement. She agreed because if she hadn’t, she would have been forced to return home to London with her baby. They got married just three days after she signed the prenup and shortly afterward, they began to have disagreements. Tyrese would become angry and aggressive and leave her home with the baby for days and weeks at a time while he went on vacation, hung out with Brandy and who knows what else.
The couple filed for divorce last October after 10 months of marriage.
In past interviews, Gibson was hesitant about talking about his wife.
Last August, he was asked by blackvoices.com if he was married. Gibson said yes, but refused to reveal her name saying “I don’t want to say. I live a private lifestyle. I don’t want no paparazzi following me around. I don’t get off on that.”
