Her CD isn’t selling because the paying public isn’t interested in buying her ghettotized garbage. Also, one “star” in the family is enough! Solange doesn’t have what it takes to become a star in her own right. Her daddy gave that to her older sister. Another thing to add is, it is VERY rare to have 2 singing and famous singers come from one family make it to complete stardom. Chaka Khan’s sister, “Taka Boom” tried, so did Aretha Franklin’s sister and failed, because there was only room for ONE family star on the world’s stage…especially if the one who is the star is the ONLY one with creatable talent.

The success of Beyonce is a prime example of how in America music is watch you see, not what you hear. “Crazy in Love” came from a small ad lib in Hall and Oates’ song “You Make My Dreams Come True”. If Beyonce didn’t peddle the “Sasha Fierce” Album to the petty, vain, arrogant, shallow and superficial drag queens of America we wouldn’t care about her. Beyonce can’t sing as well as say Mary J. Blige, but Beyonce is drop dead gorgeous and she can sing a little in a monotonous kind of way, so therefore she sincerely deserves her success. It is ok to be drop dead gorgeous and not the best singer. That is America. We don’t listen to music. We watch it and pick the lightest people we can find.
Solange can’t sing or dance, but she too is drop dead gorgeous, except for her chicken legs and sting bean arms, so we, the petty, vain, shallow, empty headed Americans should just fill her coffers and deal with it. It is what it is. Music is watched, not listened to in America. Frankly, I’d rather listen to Judy Collins than Solange or Beyonce. I personally listen to the radio to select the artists I like.
