i looked at the show last night after the awards, and surprisingly i liked it. because they are both strong women to show the struggles that they are going through in their lives. so for that i have respect for them. i admit at first i thought it was going to be a whole lot of craziness, like a lot of realty shows. but it was decent and i liked to see the bond that tiny’s mom and dad had. its good to see couples last like that.

I’m confused, I understand that each of these women have a background story. But the truth is everyone has a background story the only reason that these women are being shown on tv is because they are connected to well know rap figures. Well, BendNot2Break, Tiny was on the music scene way before T.I. became a household name and she was dating him before he made his own break through in 2001. Don’t get me wrong, I am a T.I. fan, I love him and his music. However, Tiny was a member of Xscape, the well known R&B female group from 1993-2005. She had her own successful music career and fortunes from her stint with the group. So I think she can stand on her own and she’s not the typical “baby-momma”. She doesn’t need to ride on T.I.’s fame, she has her own. Before labeling these women as people who are opportunists, get to know your Hip Hop/R&B history. Everyone don’t have alterior motives, people do truely fall in love for who they are as a person. I understand some people are users, but we dont know the situation, so we should not be assuming anything.

The show was ahh-ite…I guess!!! I empathized with Toya’s ordeal with her mother. I couldn’t imagine how painful it must be to have a mother battling a drug problem. Tiny was better lookin’ during her Xscape days (in the 90′s). I agree it appears she had something done to her lips. Sorry to say but no man (“baby daddy” in this case) could dictate what I do as a career especially when it is something I am passionate about and is a pursuit of my dreams. In my humble opinion, she comes off to me as someone who lacks CONFIDENCE, poise, and ambition as a woman. She seems to have traded in being an “artist” for being “TI’s girl”. Sad!
