But, its true on what he says though, i think parents these days once they split should find a common ground and just get along for the sake of the kids. Kids shouldn’t be in the cross fire. Some parents are too caught up in the drama that they forget that its affecting the kids. Regardless, how anyone feels about the two of them, or don’t like their clothes, i commend them for still getting along for the sake of the kids cause truley its about the kids! I’m sorry but this letter sounds a bit ghetto and Russell Simmons doesn’t seem like the type of man that would refer to his ex wife and mother of his children as his babies’ mama.

I think the used the words babies’ mama to show that the term doesnt always have to have a negative conotation to it. To me, that made the letter even more special, because there aren’t many men who have positive things to say about their baby’s mama. The fact that he encouraged all fathers to step their game up and not leave all the work up to the mothers cancelled out anything that may have sounded ignorant or ghetto to me. People focus on the wrong things…his letter was sweet and classy as hell.

If anything can come out of a relationship with your children’s father (for those who aren’t together), like Russell said, a support system should always be there! I don’t have a (great) relationship with my kids father, but I have always been there just as he has for his kids. The more support we can be for each other, the better support we can provide or children. That was sweet, Russell! :)
