Mokah Jae I completely agree. I am a huge Jay-Z fan, I think he’s the best rapper hands down…but please don’t take the music business and make it personal. Chris Brown was expected to be there, he resembles MJ and would have paid homage in a way that one else can because he’s the closest there is to a great imitation of MJ. First and foremost BET did an excellent job re-arranging the show from beginning to end in a few short days.I put on a small charity show with only about 20 modelsand that is hell, much less a grand show like the BET Awards. That show was excellent. I understand why Jay Z had an issue with Chris but at the same time I believe the audience would have loved for everyone to put all issues aside. Chris would have torn the stage down with his rendition of Michael. I have not forgotten what happened to Rhi Rhi nor have I excused a man brutally beating a woman but I believe the grown side of J should have cut the bull at this time. I don’t care what Michael Jackson did on his personal time, as long as he made good music, and great videos. All those tabloids made up alot of stuff on Michael. Keep in mind 2 things: 1, he wouldn’t talk to them. The media makes it clear that if you don’t play ball, they will ruin you. Michael didn’t even have an interview from 1979 to 1994. 2: Michael’s face on tabloid magazine covers, sold magazines. That right there is motive, and enough to convict. Chris Brown’s life is no different in the case of he and Rhianna. I don’t give a damn if they date, that’s on them. Once they step off of the stage, away from the mic, or off the camera, I can go back to my life. I don’t get into that behind the scenes stuff. I simply don’t give a damn. Bet Awards 2009 had 10.2 millions up 61 percent from last year and the only reason that was the case was because of the fact that everyone was anticipating Chris Brown to pay tribute. BET elected not to have him come on, which in my opinion, is a travesty. MJ ADORED Chris Brown, even had him open for him in London a few years back and was even going to have him do a few shows on his recent tour. If this story has any validity whatsoever, it will be to Jay Z’s detriment, mark my words. It took a whole year for his last album to go Platinum, so if he thinks this move has helped his career in ANY way, he is sadly mistaken. They snuffed Chris out because they know he is the ONLY one who comes even remotely close to MJ and they know he has the MJ market sown up. His next album will sell more than his first two combined because of this.

This year was the worst B.E.T awards yet…I mean some performances were okay but it seemed rushed. Hell I would have rather seen Chris than Beyonce or Jay Z(although I do love DOA and Ava Maria) and I am a HUGE fan of both. All the tributes to Michael were slow songs, which wasn’t too interesting (I expected someone to dance other than sit on a freaking stool). Janet was great of course, but the show was nothing to shout about…I was thoroughly disappointed. Chris would have done him justice…shame they let their or Jay’s personal feelings get in way of what could have been a great performance.

I thought this was tribute to MJ not Jay-Z. Who would have gave a damn if he pulled out, Chris Brown would have given a top-notch performance that reminds of us Micheal Jackson and how he entertained the world, not the return of a rapper who retires every five years. As far as entertaining Chris is the closest to Micheal we have left.

IF this is true, then I think it has nothing to do with Rihanna. This is a personal problem. It has something more to do with Beyonce and his performances, they know he would’ve blew their asses out of the water and their egos (no pun intended) would’ve been deflated, get over ya’ll selves, and put on a real Michael Jackson tribute show, not that s**t ya’ll called BET Awards. The O’Jays (younger and older), Maxwell, Mary Mary, and Neyo, highlights of the night for me.

My favorite parts of the show were the tributes to Micheal, the showing of successful black people who aren’t entertainers, Jaime’s performance, The O’Jays tribute and Mary Mary and Queen Latifah’s performance. I thought for sure that Beyonce would do a tribute to MJ. Kerri Hilson attempted to incorporate MJ into her performance but it looked more like a tribute to Elvis. I thought Chris Brown would perform and Usher also. All things aside I would have rather seen Chris do a tribute to MJ than see Jay perform.

For Jay Z to be a mature rapper; hew truly acted like a envious child! He has been known in the pass to kick women asses so who does he thing he is to put a hold on someone career just because he has some money! Michael Jackson represented peace and what Jay Z did was so unprofessional and not representing Michael’s honor at all!
