I cover everything for them including clothes, lunch money for school, medical insurance, babysitter, etc… This is what he does… He buys his (now ex-fiance) a customized ring, spend money on all the different woman, and their children, but not his own. Let me tell you- my children are all “HONOR ROLL” students, they respect me, and have activities to keep them busy. I hate to hear men complaining about child support because the truth is unless your pulling in major money (i.e. doctor, athlete, engineer etc) your child support is not going to be that much. The fact is the courts are not that generous when it comes to child support. I know some men who only pay $40 a month or less. A friend of mine gets checks for $2 and $4 for child support and she is too ashamed to cash them individually so she gets about 6 months worth of them then she cashes them. Ultimately, as long as your kid(s)are being fed, clothed, sheltered, has medical and dental care, and is receiving a good education it shouldn’t matter to you where or how the mom spends the money. Now if your kids are not receiving the care mentioned above then you have a problem. Like I always tell my younger brothers it’s much cheaper to buy a pack of condoms than a pack of diapers.

Trust me after going through child support court with his first child he will know the ins and outs of reducing your net worth. Just like his worth is declining so is hers but they will take into account her net worth and earning potential Sadly though the law is set up so that she can get support for her unborn child. If he knows what I know he had better reduce his expenses. Such excesses tends to make the courts rule in favor of the mother. Child support is such an unfair concept which goes again fathers. The harsh reality is that child support makes the rich pay a lesser percentage of there annual income than the average working still. In NYC its 17% of the first 80K combined incomes. (Anything above that is at the decretion of the courts so she wont make 17% of 7 mil or of the 4 mil he claims to get) ALthough her albums never relally sold she has to get more than that a year from ASCAP. She thinks that she is going to get an excessive amount in child support but she may get a couple of thousand a month tops (not the hundreds of thousands that she thinks that she will get)

Kelis is trippin, the average man would have took her ass to walmart and got a stroller for 79.99, a baby sling for 29.99, and 175.00 for a crib if not for the two combined. The baby isn’t here and the gift card are to ensure that she spends da money on da baby NAS IS NOT DUMB that Kelis mad cause she can’t break his bank, she need to get another one hit wonder. It frustrates me that women like this give single parenting mothers a bad name. ITS NOT ALL ABOUT THE MONEY ITS ABOUT THE CHILD.

She got a $350 check and $2500 in gift cards, thats a lil something. Depending on the store the gift cards are for and the amount of each gift card she still ain’t got nothing. FAO Shwartz and them other baby stores in NYC ain’t cheap. Now if he got her a bunch of gift cards for Target, Burlington’s, Wal-Mart and stores like that she’ll be straight. She do got $350 in a check and that can buy some clothes, blankets and diapers. When I had my son I bought him the bare minimum! I was shopping at Wal-Mart off the clearance rack and that s**t still came to nearly $500! That doesn’t include the stroller which was a steal but the s**t adds up QUICK! Hell if he don’t want her to have cash, then just buy the stuff the baby needs and say f**k it. She can’t complain if he buying it unless all she really wants is the money and nothing else. Oh well!

How can anyone say $5,000 is not enough. 1) Gift Cards= =money that can be used to buy the baby things.
2) Baby formula is expensive. Try breastfeeding.
3) Don’t hire an expensive nanny, ask some relatives or friends to help babysit.
4) There are cute baby clothes that aren’t name brand and less expensive.
5) As far as her needs/wants, she should be responsible/accountable and able to take care of that. I understand the jist of if the baby is to surivive then the mother should be healthy the light bill paid, rent, and etc, but that should be on her part.
6) They both should be providing for the child.

I hope Nas has some GOOD attorneys…the only thing he should pay for is child support. Spousal support should be out of the question.
