Controversy sells for some people and no amount of controversy will sell a record if the person can not sing. The entertainment field is wide open for women recording artists and if anyone is confident in their place along with the other entertainers should have enough confidence and class not to embarrass themselves by denigrating a fellow artist. There’s plenty of room at the top, bottom or wherever one feels that they belong and there is no need to attempt to dethrone someone that they think is taking away their ability to shine. This remark, if it is true appears to sound like an act of desperation and immaturity which will definitely dim her own ability to shine. Today we cause more pain to each other than some of our ancestors former oppressors ever did.

I think a couple people made good points. 1) It’s not about comparing the two, Bey is a great stage performer, Keri is a good writer, both have great voices. Fact is, we can’t even assume that just because Keri wrote a couple joints for Bey that she’s a better writer. Let us not forget Bey wrote a number of her and DC’s earlier platinum bangers, so Bey CAN write too. It’s probably more likely that being wifey along with her many professional commitments simply don’t allow her the time to write as much, so she has to pull from other sources, and a good song is a good song no matter who penned it. And many songwriters write songs w/ an artist in mind – Bey sells records so she’s a writer’s dream. 2) Songwriters are paid for their work. They often receive a nice check upfront and a publishing/writers credit that generates a royalty every time the song is played on the radio, tv, or is reused/sampled. So after an artist cuts that check, their responsibility to the writer is done. Keri was paid for writing and selling a song. Her physical credit is on Bey’s cd insert, anybody seeking that information can find it there. BUT, Bey IS NOT obligated to personally, verbally or actively promote Keri Hilson or her abilities as a writer. That’s a job for Keri, her management, her publicist, and her label. So if she doesn’t feel she’s getting her propers she should direct her frustration at them. 3) These young psuedo-superstars are on some bullshyt. U never heard about writers hatin’ on the artists they wrote for back in the day, as long as that check cleared all was swell. Smokey Robinson wrote for every artist at Motown, male and female, and songs we’d probably be surprised to learn were penned by him. U never heard him utter a word about the artists not giving him his props for writing their songs, but he cashed those checks and he’s still cashing them today, and 4) R&b is not like Rap, being a writer is neither a prerequisite nor is it the element we use to measure an artist’s ability to make and sell great records or be great entertainers and performers – It’s can they sing and dance, BEY CAN !! So Keri’s rant is both moot and juvenile !!

I mean just this year Beyonce brought in 84 Million dollars alone…so once she gets on that lifestyle of the rich and famous level she should just be humble and know that everyone isnt blessed to make it in the industry.I think Keri’s style is new and fresh but Beyonce can blow hands down so you cant compare the two. Sex sells now in the music industry , it doesnt matter if you can sing anymore, hell i can blow but because I am plus size I am having a hard time breaking in, So Keri I say this, Be grateful you are in the position you are in , be humble, thank god for blessing you, if its true… if not still stay humble, Because on the day of judgement, god isnt going to care how many songs you nor Beyonce wrote or sung, its going to come down to the person you are. I think beyonce has the whole package and she can really sing live, so I mean you cant help but to love her and sing her songs…you sistas stay up.

keri hilson has some great songs.. but beyonce is where its at.. keri wrote the damn song, but she damn sure can not deliver them like b. many people have ghost writers but its the delivery that counts. keri is no where near beyonce’s level so maybe she should take a few steps down fromt that throne she swear she on.

The for mentioned song that she wrote a verse on isn’t even on Beyonce’s cd its on Usher’s so she didn’t even write it for her she wrote it for him. She’s just mad because he didn’t ask her to sing on his cd with him. And in that case Keri needs to point her daggers in his direction. Beyonce is a talented singer and song writer with many credits under her belt. And this article was published in March, so someone is obviously trying to be a shyt starter.

Keri was to sing the song with Usher, but his wife had a s*** fit when she saw how the dancing was going, so she shut things down. Why she felt safer with Beyonce doing the number with him, I don’t know. Anyway, who cares, she’s out. And Hilson has started singing in addition to writing and dancing. where in this post does it say anything about keri hilson confirming that she called beyonce a ho, because I just picked up a magazine a couple of days earlier saying that, “keri hilson puts the beyonce and ciara rumors to rest” she was not talking about either of them on the turnin me on remix.

I really like what she has done for other performers but not exactly a favorite fan of her own stuff. The only one I do like is ” Turning me on”. That one has a great beat and sound to it. I bought the CD but it has collected dust ever since the first day it came out. Now on the topic of this interview she actually DID do about what she DID say in the song ..(about Beyonce- my favorite!)..now I really don’t care for her.
What a major waste of time to insult one of the people who did not HAVE to have you write for them. There are other great writer’s out there too..like Neyo for example. So what//you wrote a lot of other performer’s songs..Now go write your own and pray that they are as successful as they were singing your lyric’s to their now platnium records. Wow!

That Keri woman is beautiful. Still she got off to a bad start. I believe she said it. I was watching her on something else and one of the first things that came out of her mouth was that “I wrote my own music.” Your new and your boosting your writing skills. I didn’t know about Neyo for a while. Still he knew he had skills because he as making dough. When a new girl comes out Beyonce is tagged to them some how. Same thing with Riahnna. Sort of, ya know what I mean. I like B, she keep it moving, new looks, still sexy, and not talking about people and why would she? She dances and sings, I mean come on and while she does it her voice still comes out clear. Try to get these new singers to do the same. Their voice will be shaking and then they will try to get the audience to sing along to cover up their voice. I want my money back.

Keri is sooo new to the game, she has to come at the top dog! She not only came at Bey on her writing skills, but she came at her husband and that was WAY over the line! Keri needs to calm down! The only reason she came at her is because the lyrics that she did write for Bey, if she sang them herself wouldn’t do a fraction of what Bey has done.
