Jennifer Hudson gave her first hometown concert since her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were murdered in Chicago last year.
Jennifer performed Saturday night at the Arie Crown Theatre in Chicago, and according to the chicagotribune.com got to the point in her touring script where she asks her audience if there any fighters in the house?
After asking the pre-planned question, she realized its absurdity. “I don’t need to ask if there are any fighters in Chicago,” she said, starting hesitantly, but soon pounding out the words.
” ‘Cause that’s where I’m from. And I know I’m a fighter.”
We’re just glad to see JHud back on stage doing her thing.
