If the pics alone and his acknowledgment of wrong doing doesn’t show that he did beat on her, then some people are in denial. Abusers initiate violence for no valid reason and they physically and verbally abuse for non of the rights of self defense. Abusers hurt because they are get pleasure from it. Chris is not the one to pin up for the issue of doemstic violence. Statistics show that relationships where men allow women to physically and verbally abuse them, the woman then becomes the domestic abuser. Men handle the abuse more in secret than women do. Stats show over 1 million women are abused each year, but over 800,000 men are abused by their wives. Therefore, To those intelliegent sisters who correctly understand this situation, maybe you can form a group that helps women who feel they need to physically and verbally assault men. For us men, we should be teaching our young men how to de-escalate arguments and confrontations with non violence both with women and other men.

I am continually bothered by how Black women have reacted towards the Chris/Rihanna situation. Why is it that so many of us are quick to put blame on her when we should be the ones with zero tolerance? I know why we as Black women coddle our men and try to protect them but I don’t think most of us understand that we are a large part of the problem because of that. Put simply, they won’t grow up because we won’t let/make them. Being an adult is taking responsibility for your actions. As a grown @ss woman I have been in situations in which I had to think before I reacted, even at 18, 19, and 20 years old. Even if she did hit him first his response was totally overboard tenfold as evidenced by her condition versus his. And she coddled him too by keeping her mouth shut, going on vacations with him afterwards, and all the rest…she tried to protect him. But as you can see, his @ss is still getting the most sympathy from our community and that’s a damn shame. I was so happy that “Eve” spoke up and it reminded me of the story she told in that “Love is Blind” joint but whoever wrote it should be commended. You all need to leave CB alone yo. No one knows what the phuck Rhianna did. I had to break up with my ex, whom I was very in love with. Every time we have an argument, she slap, punch, kick and hit me with whatever she can get her hands on. We been together for 2+ yrs. and it was like that for most of it. I grew up seeing my dad worshiping my mom, and never saw him abuse her (even though I thought she deserved a slap, once or twice).
