I am so tired of our Real Actresses who always are over looked. This is ridiculous they go with the face that sales rather then the actors or actresses who can really bring these stories to life. Dont get me wrong she has talent as a singer…but What about Sanaa Lathan, Taraji P., Nia Long, Gabrielle Union, Meagan Good, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Viola Davis….the list goes on.

Taraji and Jada, either would be phenomenal. (Meagan Good? Nah) B cannot do period pieces. I will admit she surprised me a little bit in Dreamgirls and in Cadillac Records, there was one scene, (yes only one, sorry b) that i actually saw the character and not Ms. Knowles pretending. She does not have enough experience or enough range to pull it off. I hope she gracefully declines, she has to know she is not ready for a role this deep. Who’s the French cat considering her, maybe I will shoot his ass an email.

I must say I’m proud of the assistant editor on this one. There is so many actresses out there that’s been getting pushed to the side for non-actors just because of the fresh face/cash concept. She did well in other movies because it involved singing. Thats her thing and I appreciate her talent and art (except that last cd). But please let somebody else get this. Like the 2 post before me, there are many talented women out there that DESERVE this part.

I WAS THINKING, JADA PINKETT SMITH. I LIKE JADA’S STRENGTH AND SHE IS A GREAT ACTRESS. ALSO QUEEN LATIFAH WOULD BE GOOD ALSO. BEYONCE, HUM, MAYBE.

I hope she don’t have on a gold afro wig in the movie like in Austin Powers.

Beyonce is not a good actress. period. She is a wonderful singer(though some people debate that) and performer, but the acting should be left to those who can. She doesn’t have to try and conquer every medium of entertainment. If she loves acting so much and its not about being in everyone’s face at all times. Then she should try building her acting muscles in more appropriate ways than stinking up major motion pictures.

No disrepsect to Beyonce or the filmmaker but I rather see Thandie Newton play her. They look more alike and she has that fire/passion. Hell, :) if given the opportunity, I could play Angela. I look like her and have the mindset of a revolutionary.
