Whomever this Alyssa Manners person is, she needs to sit her dumb ass down. Maybe she doesn’t realize, but there are plenty of Plus Size/Misses stores down here in Monroe, Louisiana and the plus sized clothes are in the FRONT of the stores right along with the misses clothes.

They keep them seperated, and generally everything that they have is not TENT-INSPIRED. Plus sized clothes, contrary to popular belief tend to be rather trendy and cute. Yes, there are some tents out there but just because they make em doesn’t mean that I have to BUY them.

So to whomever it is that wrote this, I’ma need you to move your dumb ass around with this stupid s**t. Cause it’s things like this that personifies your ignorance. And this is coming for a big, fly ass girl! Kick rocks, Alyssa Manners!

Wow. I am a beautiful plus size woman & NO I am NOT COMPLANING! I AM DOING IT! My style is on point and I work it! No I don’t complain, or whine about how “skinny girls this or skinny that”, honestly I don’t care about size whatsoever, never do I utter anything about skinny, nor am I hating on skinny women. I just want to know how is Hello Beautiful going to be so critical of a women when all women are BEAUTIFUL no matter their size, color, style, whatever. I cannot believe that WE as black women always want to downgrade each other! I am not one for commenting on these blogs, but this one slightly offended me and I felt that my opinion was needed. First of all I dont agree wth big girls being the ones to complain all of the time. I am not a skinny girl I am a size 12 and my bestfriend a 16. Not never have we spent a day complaining because we dont fit in todays society of the perfect body and nor do we speak down to another woman becuase she does happen to fit the “IT” look… Why is that you think skinny people can have their own stores but we cannot. I have been in several stores where the clothes never hit double digits. Same with the tv shows which most of which are dedicated to helping big people lose weight (not to encourage weight gain). Showing that you should be comfortable with your body but also making sure to embrace a healthy life style.

wow plus size club? really?, I am a plus size woman and I am not asking for any more than the next woman, I am thankful that there are more attractive clothes for the Average/ plus size woman vs/ my grandmothers day but that is expected because times have changed. All women are beautiful and I think the ones who have taken it to far are maybe the plus size population with low self esteem who is worried about acceptance so they expect for america to change on their behalf in order to be excepted. I say if thats what your worried about then get on a diet like the rest of america who feels they need to be a certain image to fit in, find your niche and shut the hell up, its been this way and always has been so get in where you fit in!

First off let stop the us them attiude… I do not think a plus size woman should have a seperate club from da normal population. That’s ridiculous. Although I believe that maybe there should be fashion shows gear just for plus size. I mean so many of us can identify with looking at America’s Next Top Model because we’re accepted as being normal in size but for a plus size woman how can she look at that and identify when that is what is still viewed as what beauty is. I have a cousin and even though she will ride with me to the end when we go out and people approach us they may say they like my outfit or I look nice but she often heres ( you have a pretty face) I mean I just think for most people if your honest you will admitt that yes we’ve came quite a ways but we still have a long way to go. I mean I often hear people complain about if they don’t make it out to the store when shipments first come in before everything is picked over it’s hard to find anything and I mean I honestly have to admit that I don’t have that problem. I mean a size 7 is always somewhere in the store but the size 16 rack for my cousin always end up saying well when we leave here lets stop somewhere else because all the sizes are out. If you want them to stop complaining then make just as many of their sizes as regular sizes…. I just feel like the plus size women are stepping up their game but all at the same time their is still a difference made in regular verses plus size..

Now I don’t want to be treated anymore special than anyone else cuz Im full figured but I would like the equal opprotunity to find what I need in any store I go to just like a smaller woman! I love my size and Im not whinny but I would like to go wherever and get what i need and look good and not frumpy! Im all for the fact that some full figured females wear things they shoudn’t cuz its not flattering but I would like more of a variety in more stores! There’s even more out there for the big guy than for the women! Make a change! Don’t out cast the full figured just let us be apart and be just as worthy!
