Has Stephon Marbury Lost It?

Hey Cupcakes,

It’s a fab new week!

As you may or may not know, Stephon Marbury has been livestreaming himself 24-7 on Ustream & Justin.TV through singing, dancing, screaming and crying jags, sleeping and sleep deprivation, fasting, eating Vaseline, and the like.  Some are saying that he’s on drugs; Others are proposing that he may be in the mania stage of bipolar disorder.  Some say he’s just having fun? What do you think?

There’s  a similar situation that I include in one of my books, my debut novel DARE, because I don’t feel like we discuss our mental health enough. We cry, we hurt, we’re human. The NBA when contacted for comment said that Stephon Marbury is an adult who can do as he pleases. There seem to be friends with Marbury in every shot. If he is having a breakdown and we are all witnessing it, are others liable for not truly having his back?

    Let the man be. We as black men have the tendency to sit there and let outside influences say we cant be emotional. That’s bullsh*t. We have no idea what this man may be going thru. If you notice, he doesnt start crying till the gospel song comes on. God touches all of us thru different avenues. Or, he may have related that song to something personal in his life that we have dont know about and have no business knowing anyway. Let that man be him. Since we’re not in the spotlight, and everything we do isnt scrutinized under a microscope, we have no idea whats goin on his mind, but I dont think he’s crazy or in the middle of a mental breakdown. If he is, its the public and leaches that may be surrounding him. Lets enjoy this man for what he’s giving us……..a NASTY crossover and a quirky but accurate jumper. Do your thing Steph

    I love Stephon!! He’s not crazy..he’s just silly! Loved him singing Shake It Off!! People need to leave that man alone and let him have his fun! He seems like a fun guy. Leave him be!!!
