With the exception of Billy Mays (Kaboom), the names mentioned were people who were either very advanced in age or had been battling for a LONG time against a terminal illness. While sad, we all had TIME to prepare for their passing. Their demise was anticipated; I believe there’s even a doc**entary about Farrah’s struggle against anal cancer (see? how would I know that without a coroner’s report?) . Michael Jackson, on the other hand, was NOT as far as we know, in ill health. Heck, he had to pass a physical (a strenuous one at that) for the insurers of his anticipated comeback (he never left, as far as I’m concerned). His status as a worldwide celebrity is also UNMATCHED by any of the others who’s passing coincided with his (not MJ’s fault). Hence the shock, alarm, and the concerted worldwide gasp at the news of his passing. The voice of a legend is forever silenced from the earth. People are STILL mourning Elvis Presley, making daily pilgrimages to Graceland, claiming to have seen him in the local mall, park, grocery store, etc and nobody blinks an eye. This man (MJ) CHANGED the landscape of music worldwide; his music has set records as YET unbroken, and people are TIRED of hearing about him? I for one plan to do my best to keep his memory alive and robust. R.I.P MJ, the man, the myth, the legend and ICON!

I was about 5 or 6 when i started listening to Michael, I think around that time he had just released his album Dangerous, and from there i just back track to his first album and his music with his brothers, he has left us with a lifetime of music, some people dont understand what he has done for music and the world and what a nice guy he was, and i dont believe he did anything to those kids, it was all about money.
