Mariah Carey has revealed the cover to her new holiday album, “Merry Christmas II You,” a follow-up to her chart-topping 1994 album “Merry Christmas.”

It may only be September, but Mariah is surely getting into the holiday spirit. The new cover is festive and pictures Carey seated in snow (again), in the same innocent pose, rocking the same Santa-like one-piece.

Even her body (shape and size) is the same as the 1994 cover.

Now, we’re not sure who Mariah thinks she fooling but we all know she doesn’t look like that anymore. And that’s okay – not many women do after 16 years. We’d like the new Mariah, who is now 40, to embrace her new body because, while this cover is cute, it doesn’t show any signs of aging or maturity. And we wouldn’t see a problem if it did.

The project will include a brand new recording of “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” plus “The First Noel,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “O Little Town of Bethlehem,” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.” In addition, there are four original songs composed by Mariah, including the new single “Oh Santa.”

Randy Jackson, Jermaine Dupri, James Poyser (The Roots, Lauryn Hill), and award-winning composer Marc Shaiman are among the producers.
